In my other server Admins didnt care about players suggestions even if they had script, so i like it the way it is. Uhh although one medal wouldn't be bad D; lol.
jan Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 nvm the tix... i really want some"thing" memorable to my suggestion/s... something like, what they say.... a medal? or a trophy? anything, any memorable thing... yeah i know... the implementation is one thing that is a price already, but u cant just boost off to other people like, hey im the one suggesting that idea... better thank me... the only thing i really want to see is the "thing" that reminds me of what i was suggesting about...

The altered game play to a greater turn of events is more then enough... But, at the same time some members gain a unique status called "contributor" Usually ex-GM's or Mod's and such... However, I don't see why a medal or that status couldn't be given to those who had...say... 1-5 accepted suggestions, or reported bug fixes.. They are contributing to the server's benefit after all?

Plus, it'd become worse since the person who's taking credit for somebody else's suggestion is getting the items. :(

Fro's one of the best high rates you can find, and a lot of players don't appreciate it. I meant it more as a general statement. My apologies if you're for this idea, but I still think it's a materialistic thing to ask for. and as MAC would say, another QQ post.

(yee hello kitty would be awsome for stickers xD)

Well, most would be a better word. As many people have said before, it is its own reward to have your suggestion approved. Then again, a forum award (like the hundreds that Genesis has) for bragging rights wouldn't be so bad. Plus, this motive for making suggestions would be better than people being motivated to make suggestions that would benefit themselves ingame. If this were to be implemented, people would make suggestions that are more... random, compared to many "make this class stronger" suggestions. People would try to find problems with ANYTHING to report with a suggestion to get the prize. This would let the server be better as a whole, which is the main goal of these suggestions. That's worth one guy getting temporarily stronger by a few ygg tickets or something, right?

A major bug meaning it can literally destroy something like the economy or stuff like those without effort at all.

I mean I think it is award enough gaining respect from the GMs by making good suggestions. Or what I am trying to say is that if you make good suggestions I don't Genesis or Zeit are exactly dumb they will notice that you are thinking and making smart, thought out, unselfish suggestions. Honestly I don't usually make suggestions to benefit myself XP I just make them to benefit the server as whole :s. And they aren't materials devotion they are pixels on forum <3, which some people like. Like me ;-; because I honor my post count XP. On l2Xeebra I'm ranked #3 in most posts <3 XP I would be number one but I quit l2xeebra lawlz QQ XP.... Anyway enough ranting <3. Devotion didn't QQ she just made a valid point, and I guess as Genesis said the fact that your suggestion got approved is another good things. But like Ryoji said it isn't that hard to hand out medals ^.~

But wanting items, no matter what kind, for having an accepted suggestion, is still materialistic. Here's a dictionary definition: 1. Philosophy The theory that physical matter is the only reality and that everything, including thought, feeling, mind, and will, can be explained in terms of matter and physical phenomena. If one agrees that you can have a society on an online game, then one must also agree to have standards for that society. And in RO, like in real life these day, having the stronger, better item is preferred. Whether or not you can actually hold these items doesn't matter, because in the gaming society we created, they are materials, and items. What I don't want to happen is to have the suggestion section flooded with repetitive, selfish suggestions. Most people who make suggestions currently are not doing it solely for their benefit, or for the possibility of having an item in game. That in itself is commendable. I'll agree that there can be a prize, but it can't go beyond recognition, and mustn't be able to sell it or trade it. I've seen medals on Gen's forum page. Maybe a medal on the forum page, and a recognition in your signature would be appropriate. An in-game recognition could be an NPC which lists the contributors to the server.
