Desire Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 Hello fRO! I've been holding this newest event called Warp Portal v02 for a few times now and I need your input! If you have attended this event, please share your ideas and suggestions about it. Last but not least, please suggest a name for this! (Unless you want it to be Warp Portal v02) Edit: Rules: Basically, you will be warped to 2 different maps and I will kill 1 of 2 maps depending on the number of players in it. Before I open the portals, I will roll a dice. If the number is 1,2, or 3, I will kill the map with fewer players. If the number is 4,5, or 6, I will kill the map with more players. Then I will open 4 portals (2 at a time) to lead to 2 different maps. Last player alive wins.

Gabs Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 i like version 1 of warp portal cos its quicker, v2 seems a bit longer, especially if gm has to chase ppl around a big event map to kill them, essentially its the same thing just that u dont find out if ur ded or not untill a little later when gm does a count of the maps, though i like the idea of different number of portals and limited portals, this vastly changes the percentages of success and weeds out ppl useing several accts.

We're trying to improve this event and voting you do not like it and walk away will not help. Unless it's just pranks, then dont do it again. Aragonia Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 I really liked this event, much more so than the original portal event. It's really a pretty fair event where everyone is on equal playing fields, and I really think the server needs more events like this one.

Kuyuti Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 Personally I experienced this even yesterday and me and Desire talked about it during it. I know I have already shared my ideas about it to him but I will repeat them here. My only problem was with the dice roll. You see basically he opens up three sets of two portals each, each portal leads to a different place. Also before he opens the portal he rolls a dice if the number is 1-3 the map with the least amount of players dies if it is 4-6 the map with the most number of players dies. I like this idea it adds a s new spin on warp portal so here is my suggestion: First roll the dice for each set of portal open and average them out in the end. That way people see you roll the dice all three times then take the average in which any number 1-3 is the least and any number Greater than 3 is most. This will add a bit more anticipation into the decisions. Also what would you do if you had two people left and they both wen to a different map :/? Only thing you can't be too sure about ^.^ But I like this event better than regular Warp Portal :)
death... Posted February 25, 2009 Report Posted February 25, 2009 I played this game and I lost on the first round(The most players on the map). It's better than the other one, but I don't like the dice system. I suggest, since we have 6 numbers in the dice, we also put 6 different places where the number is written on the floor of that particular map, like on the map where there are X and Y on the floor(I think that's warp portal event v01). So obviously, the GM will spawn 12 portals(6 for the 1st sets of portals and 6 for the 2nd) and of course the GM will dice first before the portals. Edit: Obviously, if the GM does the dice, he/she will kill the person(s) that corresponds the number.
