Old people's generation is also responsible for a lot of the problems our world faces today, and have left it up to us to fix it. Their lives may have been more labor intensive, but at least they were able to live through it. The current problems that face the young people of today are killing more of them than the problems of the past killed old people. I'd say they earned their right to be weird, but young people have earned their right to be impatient and irritable towards them.

More often than not serious posts become tainted with jokes or things that take away from the serious atmosphere. As I said before, it's hard to ignore a person's post, even when it has no meaning. Especially if they come back and repeat their nonsense over and over. Some people have a much harder time than others ignoring something like that. Also, if everyone can post in a serious discussion on open forums, why can't any players post their serious responses to a person's ticket? Or to someones review of a GM? That isn't exactly fair to everyone. We could inspire our youths but not many youths pay enough attention or take the words of their elders to heart, to really inspire any. It would be great if we did, but the chance of it happening is slim. Having one separate forum for serious discussion isn't out-casting them from society. If that were the case, than all organizations that do not allow everyone's input would be out casting. The voting system of the US would be out casting young kids from society because you have to be 18 to vote. Everyone seems to be ok with that. This would be one of the rare occasions that it has not become tainted. But who's to say it won't occur later on? A separate forum would do a better job of preventing it. OR! We could add a sub forum section (open to all) that is just for serious discussions. Any posts that would be irrelevant to the topic could be deleted. The restrictions on such a forum could be no pornographic material and no excessive language. Beyond that, I can see no need for it to be monitored. I have faith in the mature community here to know boundaries inside a conversation. (Just not so much in the immature.)

L2Aim I know that younger people have a different outlook on things and that we can learn from them. However, most of those young kids fall under the category of being intelligent enough to hold a well thought out conversation. My experience on these forums, we lack those kinds of young people. In my belief of the 18+ sub forum, its more of a place where people can discuss ANYTHING but in a way that is more in-depth and more thought out. Not just a bunch of one-liner posts. If a 16 year old has the maturity level and intellect to hold a well thought out conversation, then by all means let them in. Just give them warning about what material they might encounter. As I said earlier, there could be regulations. The thread could be made on the restriction that NO pornographic material can be posted. Porn is very obviously identified. A picture of a woman's naked body in a Biology book is far different than that of a naked porn star. Easily identifiable. Also, I did read well what you wrote. That doesn't change the fact you contradicted yourself however. You gave no notion of sarcasm in your post, so how can you expect someone to pick up on it? Its nothing personal towards you, just pointing out something you unintentionally did.

I didn't group all the players into one mob. I grouped 10-15 year olds into that mob. I know some here are capable of holding intelligent conversations. I also know that many 16-17 year olds can do the same. I even said that very few 10-15 year olds can. I never once stated that all people under the age of 18 are stupid and can't hold an intelligent conversation. You're assuming my words when I'm stating everything I mean clearly. Stop it. People have tried to make them, they then get corrupted by people without the intellect to continue them and turn into flame wars. Just because a new subforum is created doesn't mean it has to be super active as all hell. A few threads here and there, about serious discussions would be sufficient. Also, its not the easiest thing in the world to roll over a person who's post was absolute nonsense and will most certainly come back to spew more of it. In the sub forum, as I said in a previous post, it could be made to not allow pornographic material, and delete any posts that had nothing to do with the topic at hand. Don't pretend like there isn't going to be regulation. There could and would be lots of it. Then why do we have guildforums? GM forums? Why can players not see other Tickets, or see the GM Reviews? That right there is sectioning off our players. You being a part of that team is promoting it, not fighting it. Don't contradict yourself, it doesn't look good on ya.

I'm not implying anything. I'm saying what I mean, straightforward. It's only hectic if you allow it to be. If you know how to manage your stuff and your money, buying your stuff isn't hectic. On an 18+ sub forum you could talk about your favorite liquor, you're political standing, your religions, without interference from a crowd of 10-15 year olds that have no idea what they're talking about, but pretend to. It's more of a place for serious discussion about everything, than it is for JUST 18+ material. Honestly, how many 10-15 year olds are there, that play online games, who can hold an intelligent mature conversation about religion, and know what they're talking about? In my years of playing MMO's, not many. And no, it isn't "surprising", it's just stupid to assume that 18+ always means porn. However, I suppose that's what our world society has come to. Porn = everything. -_-

You're assuming that porn is the only good thing about being 18+, like everyone else is. It's not. Being 18+ allows you to legally own your shit. Before you become 18+ nothing of yours, is legally yours. It belongs to your parents or legal guardians. When you turn 18, it actually is yours. You also can't sign any contracts on anything until you're 18. Meaning, you can't buy a house, apartment, car or anything that requires signing a contract. There are seriously tons of good things about becoming 18, and everyone always looks at just porn. Stop. It's not even close to the best thing -__-

If things did turn into pornographic material in a thread that had nothing to do with pornography, the user would be warned and the post could be deleted. It could also be made that everything BUT pornography would be allowed. It's not as if porn is the only aspect of being 18+. I await the day when people stop thinking the only good thing about being 18+ is being able to view porn legally -_-
