  yes, only js and css. we're not allowed to use jquery or bootstrap etc. it would've been alot easier if it was allowed. hehe. the project is only for front-end. no back-end needed, hmm, I think I would've used asp.net if that was the case..

  How about using SASS or LESS for the CSS to write it better? Or using CoffeeScript for the JS?

  Actually got some good pre-made stuff from jsFiddle lol. I'm not familiar with SASS or LESS and CoffeeScript but I'm noting down your suggestions for future projects. I'm not really into front-end coz I suck at designing, I'm more of a middle-tier and back-end programmer, well atleast it's what I want and kind of good at.
