I felt that they just made Tracy into a baby bearer for Ted who would in the end still has interest in Robin as he brung up the matter to his kids. It was ok that Tracy died but the output or what it led to was just sad

They just didn't handle the time skip of Tracy's death well, I mean it was told at the last minute. If they did half the last season as to why Tracy would die and how Ted cope up, the finale would have been fine.

Yea, they couldve shown that on how Ted coped up with Tracy's death rather than his kids say something like "time to move on." Ted pretty much had intentions on the matter anyways as his kids noticed how he told the story about mentioning Robin much more than their mother
