  1. 1999, Ragnarok Online came out, there was a fair amount of game balance and people still played in teams to achieve things, both in PvE and PvP. A few years later, around 2005 if my memory serves me well, a new content patch arrived with a whole new arsenal of weaponry, monsters and a few extra platinum skills. The arrival of Valkryrie Randgris. Enough RO history, let's get to the point. Dispel used to be a skill that only was used by professors, making them crucial in battles where you were able to weaken the opponents and gain the advantage in battles. In this era, here on Forsaken RO, the class has been rendered less useful because of the high amount of Golden Thief Bug cards. Yet, our most seen opponent has been able to practically spam it at 195 attack speed without much effort, because of their dual wielding possibilities, the chance isn't 1%, but 2%. Yes, I'm talking about Assassin Crosses, I think, it would be reasonable to lower the dispel chance for that specific class to 0.1%. Given they already are flooded with something that is supposed to be rare (Poison Bottles), making them already at the top of their damage constantly without too much effort (right clicking, spamming F1 for berries and an occasional backslide & cloak). That is why I think they should at least gain a nerf in gaining the upperhand. Don't comment saying, but hey, try using GTB then, because we all know that the 24k damage with reducts changes to around 40-50k each hit and you aren't doing just as much damage in return. Not a single class (full asura champs face reducts and their damage per second is way lower than that of a maxed out Assassin Cross, so don't use that excuse either, champs will be beaten with the QQ-whip later on). So dear Forsaken RO community, voice your opinion, you all talk about the lack of class balance, yet most people aren't massively contributing by making suggestions, asking guild members or friends to support you on the said suggestions on forums, participate in discussion and so on. Don't bash the GMs, they're doing what they can. Thanks for your time reading and I hope we can keep this topic nice, clean and professional.

    Be patient, wait out the FCP and strip their gears. It's hard to play stalker, not undoable, a health boost should have a higher priority aswell as other fixes. Plus, using a soul linker is worth the trouble, next to the added movement speed, the dispel mechanism also is blocked.
  3. People don't make enough WoE vids here, fraps the whole story, make a short summary of WoE, add some kicking music and show how vicorious you are in an animated way. Anyway, congrats with the castle.

    Snipers Suck.

    Shields provide ~60% reduct (shield and card won't stack perfectly, so reduced the total amount it reduces). Making it 30% would make it asif they have a shield without Usakoring, which still can be too low (using 1 ray/skoll because of the Assassin Cross card in cloak). Even in full reducts, their health can be insufficient (200 vit is roughly 180-190k HP with 1 Tao, if not less), a full asura can pull off about 220k damage. SB Assassin Cross' 8 hits, up to 20k-25k each and spammable multiple times, also 1-2 shots. These stats could reconsider the player's choice of the amount of reduction they would want to give Snipers to stand a chance. Constant shield & Combat knife switching is an option, but it requires very good awareness and reaction time, being in 1-hit KO builds requires a lot less effort. With the LoD & Stripping nerf, there's not much we still can do. Hit and Run vs RSX carded players using speed pots and sight, so that your push back skills are rendered useless. A failing trap duration, too much to name to not compensate a class like this. God like damage to compensate the low health would be nice or add more survivability, I wouldn't want to see both, hard classes are more fun to play.

    Trap duration needs to be fixed to start with. Damage output simply isn't enough, bows are the only physical weapons without extra damage on Demi-Humans. Long range is barely an option, there is cloaking, speed potions, other speed enhancements and fast health recovery (berry consumption). The stripping did give some benefit, but with the massive amount of FCP scrolls still around they're nerfed no matter what(the solution will lead to massive QQ, delete all FCP scrolls without ever handing them out again). Same applies with Coma for Snipers, call it a dirty trick, but it was one of the few things that kept the element of surprise in for that class. The health mod only helped slightly, we gained the same health mods as Assassin Cross, but not the same stat bonuses or starting health, making it still inferior compared to any class that can easily fight with a shield. Snipers still can be good, I've already came up with tactics to make it a more versatile class, yet the berries they can carry is insufficient to tank enough damage to carry out such alternative tactics. There are enough changes available, but it will lead to some changes that will hurt ~70-90% of the player base, namely Assassin Cross, Champions and the Swordsman jobs. Voting or polls would only turn out to be slightly corrupt as everyone would vote for their own benefit instead of a more challenging environment with more different classes.

    About WoE castles, there are too many castles for the small amount of guilds that we currently have. Reducing it to 1 would lead to too much complaints, but 1 castle less should mean guilds actually should defend and stop making tons of small guilds to just bash a castle's economy and gain no profit from it themselves. A small guide on the forum where new players are directed to, would also solve the problem with warps. @warp prt_gld 153 140 is on top of the portal @warp prt_gld 140 140 is a bit on the left side (13 tiles difference) @warp pay_gld 150 160 is next to the warp And I don't know the other warps like that, invest some effort, go to the spot, put them in a small txt file, open it when you do WoE or hotkey them on your alt + m hotkey list and you're good to go.
  15. Hello everyone, I'm going to suggest a few thing after being back for a while now and trying to get my favourite classes back into the game a bit. This is bow class dependant mainly, if you're not interested in those, stop reading now, you have been warned. Below you will see a short page content in a nice arranged list: Pouring cards (Ranged) Stripping Elite Weapons Ankle Snare Bowling Bash Stalker health Backstab Degrading gears Preserve Plagiarism Pouring Cards; - The pouring cards only aid the Sniper class, as there are more ranged (bow) classes around, I'd like to suggest that it will be changed into more ranged/bow damage instead of skill specific. Ranged Stripping; - Ranged stripping was a Snipers only way to have a small chance in a combat environment. After some serious testing I have come to the conclusion that the stripping cards aren't beneficial to the ranged bow classes at all. The stripping range is melee (2 tiles), see the 'image' below. ------------- [x][][o] [] = tile x = enemy o = Sniper ------------- The 'image' is showing the maximum range a sniper could stand, which means, they could better go dagger(non-elite btw) & shield instead, because the bow will only make them receive more damage. My suggestion is to make the Stripping cards/skill work by weapon range, just like it was pre-update, not a fixed 2 tile range. - Elite Weapons; They are nice for most classes, but insufficient for the bow classes (Sniper & Stalker mainly). A modification so that it will also do some extra damage on Demi-Humans would be welcome and maybe add a Dagger which gives some Survival stats equal to combat knife, maybe add some slots and some health. More Elite Stalker Weapons, (Caster Sword,) melee Dagger and melee Sword. This would increase their close survivability slightly, but wouldn't make them overpowered in 1 blow. - Sniper Traps; The traps are working ok, we can cast them on the ground and not below players, that's all acceptable. Ankle Snare duration once a player is trapped is supposed to be 20 seconds and no escaping skills should be able to be casted (Snap mainly), at the moment players can get out freely by using Magnum break, 'breaking' the traps, snapping out, backslide and it only lasts for 5-6 seconds if the player doesn't move. Fix the Ankle Snare time to a fixed time of 20 seconds, without Champions snapping out or Magnum Break destroying the traps. - Bowling Bash; Is a skill stalkers can copy, as many of you know. My first suggestion would be making BB also depend on weapon range. Make BB not being reflected if the stalker uses a bow and fix the range from the buggy 2 tiles I've shown in the stripping suggestion to at least 3 tiles when wearing a bow. Do not make BB being reflected if the stalker wears a bow & make BB's range being defined by the weapon type/range. - Stalkers health. It's just not sufficient, the HP mod is somewhat ok, yet a bit lacky. I have 260 vit total to get 216k HP with 1 Tao on, any full asura goes past that if executed well. This class needs to become a challenge for others to play against, some health would help them survive a bit better. Yes they can stalk & chase walk, but stalkers aren't loved at all and most of the time hunted down before FCpers are killed instead. The suggestion would be: Increase Stalkers base health pool. - Backstab; Allow the Stalker skill Backstab to be spammable, thus not making your opponent turn around once you've done it. This should also be weapon range dependable, coming up close with your bow and without any other real defence (shield) you're dead in no-time and renders this skill fairly useless. So I suggest to make backstab spammable & make it work at weapon range. - Degrading gears; Do I need to add more? It would be nice to see a NPC to degrade your upgraded gears back to 0. - Preserve; As mentioned elsewhere, we, the stalkers, would like to see Preserve not being able to be dispelled and if possible to activate and de-activate the said skill, so if we see an opportunity, that we're able to change play style and tactics. - Plagiarism; Again, others have mentioned it and it seems a fair deal for Stalkers, allow Plagiarism to copy Transcendant class skills. We're only able to copy what harms us, so don't be afraid of permanently FCPed Stalkers running around (see the irony there?). That is all for now, if I come up with other suggestions I will edit this post and bump the topic to update people about it. Enjoy the discussion.
