What I was told is: The world was supposed to end and be reborn 7 times until a "World of Perfection" is created, we're supposedly on the 6th World-life now and the final 'End of the world' will be on 21st December 2012. The mayan calender is where our time/date system developed from and the end of the calender is 21/12/2012. I doubt this is real.. it would probably take over a day for the world to end.. xD
