Devotion Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Back on topic...ahem, you can win if you're dead yes. It's happened a lot that a newbier player sees the GM and they say I found you, and right then a stronger player sees they've won. And they kill the person thinking they can win if they do that. Well they can't, we award the first person who says "I found you," and who obviously does see us. I've been the GM doing hide and seek, the GM showing other GMs how to do H&S and I've been the GM that walks around the map confusing other players. Plus enough players walk by me sometimes that I can also tell, that players don't kill each other too often when looking for a GM. I back this up with the fact that almost half of the people who find me are "Weaker" players and ~wiwi~ (joke on that one :P) I don't mind hosting one in a city every time I do H&S, but when I do do that more often than not I get a strong player who finds me. Ok so now I have a question for those of you who are arguing this. If I hide in a for_fild where there is no PK, but monsters, is that any better?

Devotion Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Let Lacey type the way he wants. It's not as if he s733kz L13k D/z. And lets all stop calling each other nab, these low blows get us nowhere. I promise to host in towns more often. ^To the post above me: You can warp around dead if you want, but I admit it does limit your walking ability :P
-Insane- Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 I was giving you links on how to improve the life situation of you and everybody around you. <3

Ok so now I have a question for those of you who are arguing this. If I hide in a for_fild where there is no PK, but monsters, is that any better? Being Dead in an event Is still unfair to everyone playing, Why should New players have a handicap, "..." says: O the new player is dead like 5 cells from me and says "I found You" The Handicap Doesnt make it any better But TY and Really I dont care about it personally But I have friends that have Left this week because they cant Event, Also It has come to my attention that the New GMs are doing Real well with the event and Having each round get progressively Harder, Thats fine Just so long as everyone gets a fair turn In some point of this quest I mean H&S and Dice are the only 2 that New players can Do PS i tried spacing my long posts... Any easier to read? I was giving you links on how to improve the life situation of you and everybody around you. <3 Why should I even Look at that Link... Apparently it didnt work for you! /no1
Devotion Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 I mean H&S and Dice are the only 2 that New players can Do Password, Mindbreaker, Find my Skull, and even TLMS, can all be done by newbies. Look at it this way. The stronger players need something fun as an event as well. LMS is good fun for many players. We also have to keep them in mind. But there will always be complaints. If password questions are too "difficult" there are complaints, and if we roll the same number over and over in Dice there will be complaints, even though we don't control the rolls. Ah so my point is, we can't please everyone 100%

Lucius Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Dying in Hide and Seek? Impossible, you have @warp. Tactic, whenever an enemy is near, warp away, if you die and are afraid, then continue to just @warp and search the map by moving your mouse around every cell until you find the GM, if you find the GM, just point the mouse towards him/her and call out exactly where the GM is with details, if the GM isn't biased and another donar finds him/her, you will win.
Devotion Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 ^ Ah but if they die and already see us they can win, and I believe they can still see the yellow dots. People think that if you get killed you lose even if you said I found you first, when that's not the case. That was my point there :)
Lacey Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Posted January 26, 2009 Thats True. Thats Why The Events that are 90% in your control should STAY THAT WAY! I appreciate your effort in this matter and I no longer believe that the events are one sided TY. and Hopefully My friends will return once talked to
-Insane- Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Why should I even Look at that Link... Apparently it didnt work for you! /no1 How can you know if you didn't look at it. I don't know what your native language is, but in English you don't need to capitalize every other word. And please refrain from double posting, that's what the edit button is for.
Lucius Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Anyways, This Server Is Good With Events In Comparison To Other Events, K? All The GMs Do Their Best To Assure Balance And Fun.
Lacey Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Posted January 26, 2009 ^ Ah but if they die and already see us they can win, and I believe they can still see the yellow dots. People think that if you get killed you lose even if you said I found you first, when that's not the case. That was my point there :) That would be my only problem Left from this topic, I dont believe that it is fair for The Dead player to tele and win, If someone does Die They need to be able to prove that they honestly see the GM by sitting next to them. Look heres My Advice and this is how I would solve the Problem from ever arising Round 1 Is simple and non PK also less prize Round 2 Not as simple and Hints are given, also non PK and Less Prize After the 2 rounds Im all for PK Mode and No holds Bars Lower Dungeon Maps, Just so long as my efforts are paid well if I was to win. I dont see why That method wouldn't work, and I dont see any reason that It should be Argued about it not being fair. 2 rounds Noob Mode per H&S Event cant Hurt any one can still win that And if they want to go for Gold and Only Gold then Just wait for the 1st 2 rounds to be over To sum Up, No Dead People and at least 1 or 2 rounds Noob Mode Thats all the Newbies could ask for
Lucius Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 PK or not you have @warp which = safe warp before even taking damage so you aren't bound to die, also, your character doesn't necessarily have to move in order to win, you could just use @warp and use your mouse to cruise around the map until you find the GM...
Lacey Posted January 26, 2009 Author Report Posted January 26, 2009 Yea But I dont think Seeking while dead is Fair to any one either, I mean /where + respawn + @warp Will do just fine just delays your seek
Lucius Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Yea But I dont think Seeking while dead is Fair to any one either, I mean /where + respawn + @warp Will do just fine just delays your seek Then you fail for not having a powerful character, powerful enough to destroy others thus the people that enjoy the current Hide and Seek shouldn't suffer because of your loss/error.
Devotion Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 err, ok well not everyone can be equal in strength. That's not a reason to blame anyone for not having a character powerful enough to PK others. I mean that sounds pretty bad, and doesn't represent Fro very well...you're basically saying if you don't have a character strong enough to PK others then you fail. In any case, I'll see what I can do. I'll close the topic since it's resolved.
