Kuyuti Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 I like to write Poems and what Lyrics when I get into the Mood yet I noticed there isn't much Poetry on here and who knows Maybe we could even have a monthly Competition or something. Just to favor the other Artists out there ^^

I think there should be a poetry contest with prizes just as there is one for signatures. The problem is getting somebody to run it. I'm not as active as I should be which means I don't have enough coupons to give for prizes. :( I would like to see this happen though. :D

Lacey Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 Poetry Is an Great Idea, I love writing and I would even post some of mine. :thumbsup_anim: This Man From a Far away Land A Man One day is reminded of a Place where smiles cought on everyone's face He packs to journey in search for new He takes his friends Not one but two The man arives and to his surprise the land once saw brought tears to his eyes This Land now torn by greed and power the town even makes passers Cower Houses are dingy Lifes are dust The town sword now covered in rust as the man stood he looked at his feet there lie a women crawling the street he helps her up and dusts her atire she informs the man of the battle of fire how the town is segregated in half and if you have no gold you do the math They own it all the land the crop She begs the man to make it stop as she dies in his arms he sheds a single tear he whispers to her softly not to fear He lays her back down on the road He runs to the sword and grabs a hold He pulls it up from its rusty slumber He vowes for War to even the numbers thus he did without thinking twice anything to make this place back pretty and nice He fought and gave it all of his Go and turned the place to a Better Forsaken RO.
Lacey Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 TY TY And Lucius Your Poem really isnt that bad, I could give you pointers to help make you feel like you write em better, But poetry is art and inspiration So its not always the words but meaning or the courage to even stand and speak it, they even say poetry doesnt even have to rhyme but me Im not one of thoughs nuts with a steel drum snap my fingures "Can you dig" lol I believe more people like poetry that rhyme and they would probably enjoy mine more if it was something they can relate to. But yea that Pixie one wasn't bad at all :laughingsmiley:
