Katari-Chan Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 as i'm sure every RO player knows that Gravity was working on Rangnarok online 2, well I have almost ALL info for anyone who wishes to know about it, I can tell you everything, background, issues, fun bugs to playwith, i can tell you about the completed version and etc. I play RO2 on a private server AND its almost done! though beta is only out right now, its in the final stages in Korea, just in the USA its really not lol it takes a while to tanslate. So anything you wanna know I'm sure i can answer, and i'll tell you if i can't lol i wont make something up. just ask ITS SO EXCITING
Amitsu Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 i played euphro2 and it was fun the first few days. i got to eff with the bad collision and jump onto roofs and crap all over prontera. only one immpossible is the church unless you got gm powers to teleport you up there but i got bored grinding after a bit. its the same thing as ro1 just in 3-d and porings can rape anyone under level 14 lol level 14 porings GFG <3
Katari-Chan Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 OMG I KNOW! i went to go level and was like "aww a poaring i'm lv 11 i think i can take it" so i shoot, and then i'm dead i'm like "OH NOES PORINGS ARE LEVEL 15!!"
Tiago Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 It's done already, but the only official server (which is Korean) is still in beta testing, I've played it a bit, it's lots of bugs and the translation still isnt finished so I still prefer RO1. ;o
Katari-Chan Posted January 1, 2009 Author Report Posted January 1, 2009 for now i prefer RO1 But when the time comes and i get to complete it, i think i will enjoy making a dimigo race...or even an ellr, just to get away from the same old thing
kuoch Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 i played a couple of private servers, it was kinda... ehh?
Tiago Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 When I played the servers didn't even have headgears implemented, it was pretty boring.
Katari-Chan Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 as of now its kinda bad, but see i've played the complete version..well the near complete and its not that bad, i kinda wish they didn't make it 3D and how complicated it is, but its going to be fun for some people. of course all the people who played RO1 will prefer it... and thats understandable. But i'm up for new things. as for playing that server with no headgears let me just say.... FTW are you kidding me? no headgears? someone didn't code any of that right lol.
Icarus Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Hey,can you post pictures of the character? I wanna know how they looks like in game =3
Katari-Chan Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 yea sure i'll screen shot myself, and post it here for you. the cool thing about RO2 is that any clothes you wanna wear, you actually wear....so when you see the picture of what a mage coat is suposed to look like, when you equip it in game it makes you char look like its wearing the coat
Icarus Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Thanks ^_______^ Would you happen to know how GS looks like?
Katari-Chan Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 as in gun slinger? well there are no classes like that, the classes are combined. so your archer class is now a shooter class and i can show you what it looks like. thats the archer class for the race norman. the other races don't have the common RO1 job classes. Such as the Ellr race, is kinda like pixies, or nymphs i don't know how to explain them. they are dedicated to nature, so they are kinda the healers of stuff. And the dimago race is kind of brutle, and kind of not liked. sort of like rogues, and thieves, but those classes are on norman already so i'm not sure what they will do for them yet. For those confused here are pictures for the races and i'll give a description for each race as best i can. NORMAN The Norman race has a human appearance and is the race that was played in RO1. They use the job System, allowing them to switch their job at will and take advantage of specialty skills. The original appearance of the Norman, a very childish look, was re-designed for a more mature look. The race's name may likely be a reference to the historical Normans or Norsemen, given the game's focus on Norse mythology. It could also be a portmanteau of the words "normal" and "human." The official descriptions says that this race aims at "bored" gamers ELLR The Ellr are a half-breed, born between an interracial relationship between the Normans and the Elves. They inhabit their own land known as "Alfheim". After participating in the war between the eastern and western Normans, they returned to Alfheim, but have recently returned to Midgard to investigate why their "Mother Tree" fell silent. The power of an Ellr comes from the magical stones they possess, called "Stones of Ancestors". These stones influence their skills, and as such the Ellr has no professions or classes. They may only equip two stones at a time, however. The original model of the concept Ellr appeared as a super deformed art style. It was later redesigned to appear more normal in proportions, although still very childlike. The official descriptions says that this race aims at "Asian" type gamers. DIMAGO The Dimago are the rejected offspring of a relationship between the Colossus and Norman. They have apparently been under an enchanted sleep, and have no memory of their previous lives. They "fight with style" and are able to make use of dynamic skill trees. The characters are designed to be 7-8 heads tall in height (that of an average human.) This, compared to the Ellr which are 2~3 heads tall or the Normans which are 4~6 heads tall, means that the Dimago will be the tallest playable race in the game. The official descriptions says that this race aims at "Western" gamers. ~Editers Note~ This is how ranged the heights are in RO2. This is just the norman race and ellr race standing next to each other. (I.E. The 'heads' noted in the Dimago explanation)
Icarus Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 GS looks so much different from this picture O.O
Katari-Chan Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 GS looks so much different from this picture O.O LOL thats because that is their drawn version, and the one i posted is the ingame version.
Icarus Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Well they're uniform looks much better in the drawing /heh
Katari-Chan Posted January 6, 2009 Author Report Posted January 6, 2009 you can change it to that if you can find the right clothes. like i said if you wanna wear something its like dressing up an avatar for gaia or somewhere, it changes your look completely.
Icarus Posted January 6, 2009 Report Posted January 6, 2009 Now thats a big change for RO. When will the game be officially released?
Katari-Chan Posted January 7, 2009 Author Report Posted January 7, 2009 it was supposed to be in the US by fall/winter of 2009. and it was supposed to be complete spring 2008, since its not done yet, they aren't sure how long it will be
Icarus Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 The Errl thingy is fucking scaring me >_>
Katari-Chan Posted January 9, 2009 Author Report Posted January 9, 2009 It's like Flyff all over again. its funny you say that, because everyone says that. truth is tehre are OTHER games that were like this WAY before fly FF. AND this game was being made before Fly FF even came out... I dunno I guess seeing that everwhere just kinda makes me upset, because i hated fly ff with a passion, and it sucked to me, but RO2 the completed version.... the only thing they have in common is that they are both 3D, but toher then that, nothing is the same, not the clothes, not the attack style, not even the way its run.
Amitsu Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 only normans were implemented yea im under prontera, he ported me there, you can jump glitch through a few walls to fall down. you need at least like 16.6k hp though depending on where you fall from. fell into the void i have more somewhere apparently i deleted all of my screenies along with the folder. i didn't think but yea they wear shorts under the skirts. iono about Dimago
Amitsu Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 its not that good unless you adventure and explore and try to glitch through everything like i did. good shit. hella funny when you get stuck somewhere. like you can get stuck on a bench or in mid air on a wall in a town where some graffiti is. headgears were hard to get and expensive when at the auction house.
