CombatMuffins Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 I just don't understand it, this probably happens at a 30% rate in real life, but on the internet I swear like 85% of my friends always do something to betray me or show little to no loyality or honesty or even being trustworthy. And I've been a very trustworthy person. I've come to a conclusion that if you're on the internet you'll have to obtain my trust, I've been extremely trustworthy, and where has this gotten me? Hacked by my best friend? Lent items happen to get "hacked?" Missing items and I just happened to let you know my password a week earlier. I know I shouldn't base a small group of peoples mistakes on everyone but I am. Ask some of my close friends, ask Abstract from this forum, I might not be able to help him out at a great extent, but at least I can try. But lets see how long this last, I trust easily which is my downfall.. Sorry I just wanted to rant on majority of people on the internet. P.S. I try to be nice to a lot and people just shove rudeness right in my face, you know who you are and I'll think about how I'll react upon this.

Talking serious, people who bahave like this in the internet just don't do it IRL cause they fear the consequences. In the internet they know that by getting your trust and getting your stuff, they only have to gain with it, since someone would probably come to you and say "you shouldn't have given your password to anyone" but i understand why you did. Sad is that this person was right; there'll be no consequences at all for the foul act. Just keep being who you are, but for now on, try to be more careful on who your trust Ok? There ARE trustworthy people even here, but you need to be a bit lucky to find them. i passed for similar things, but i still didn't loose faith in people completely, i'm just more careful now.

What is possible the value of someone that betrays you over something so simple? To me they're no different from the guy who mugs passerbys on the street...they're only more coward...

Because most people from the internet tend to think that no one can even find them or even figure out who did what.. But pretty much, using the internet since there's no camera or anything involve can like disguise you. I guess it's a way of like showing a method of greed through something not necessary? But Anthony, just to keep in mind other people has two mask.. But believing how gay it seems, the internet sometimes can be a piece of trash due to making friendship. It's because how others believe that they can get away from the consequence without any doubt (maybe some) but no physical contact or anything like that. However.. Just like Sorrow shows that sometimes your friends can be rats and appear as devious and coward as they seem. You may know all of this already, Anthony, but I'm just pin-pointing out the main facts about being deceived. But still, even if you get deceived, you'll gain more knowledge and to help others prevent this in a way.. Otherwise to face the consequence. BANNED or no friendship.

Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 This does happen quite often, and the reason behind it is that they don't teach you these stuff at school; unless ofcourse, you have a keen interest in History or Politics. Eitherway, by bestowing your trust to someone you're knowingly and willingly puting yourself in a situation that might lead you to be taken advantage of. The easy way to avoid this is to trust NO ONE and distant yourself from the realm of naivety. Some people have the smarts to know this and others will learn the hardway, such as you. I could go on and say stuf like: trust would be meaningless without betrayal and blah blah, but you already know. If you try to understand it, you will eventually begin to enjoy it and appreciate it's beauty. The claws of causality are tighter than you might think.

To earn my trust, it'll be hard, but only two people have earned my trust, Jenny and Anthony. Even though you know someone for so long, they could just be waiting for you to trust them and lend them your account and boom, everything's gone the next day. So no matter how long you've known them for, they could always just turn around and betray you. Like Jenny said, some people have two masks. They could just be pretending with you and wait until you trust them. I've been through it many times and it just sucks like hell to find out that person backstabbed you, especially if they're your best friend too. To me, I find people who are in a relationship more trustworthy than others. But sometimes that's not the case. I can tell if the couple would probably scam me if I let them have access to my account. An example of a couple I could probably trust would be Ida and Gentle. I guess you can just tell they won't scam you and all that. Just be careful on who you trust like Chazz. ): That fag.. And it's hard to really know what's going through the person's mind through the internet because you can't see their face expression. That's why I hardly trust anyone on the internet because you never know how they look in real life or what they're thinking.
