Player AI

I did a search and couldn't find much coming up on AI.

Ok, anyways I have been informed that some players use AI on their characters..

Such as a creator to automatically use AD when hit or anything like that, etc.

Is this by any means legal?

Also, does anyone else know of an other scenerios this is being done?

Thanks.

Discuss now, pls. =]

RO is written in different programming languages. AI is just another. All a Creator's AI does, is to tell his homunlus how to behave (parts of it also cause a reaction of the creator, himself, such as Auto-AD). Even if you tried, you couldn't use an AI on any other char because an homunculus has to be summoned, so the AI can be activated. Nothing illegal there.

I've seen somebody duel-clientening with a SinX and a Auto-AD creator following the SinX with some command. Now dat should be illegal.

It's called auto follow, available to everyone, with a few combination keys and mouse clicks.

The creator can be PD and Dodge. Even not doing much damage, can end breaking a armour or two,or making people switch

Isn't this basically the reciprocal effect of double-clienting an pure FPC-Creator?

so scripting a creator to do anything within the AI of having a homunculus is legal?

In esence, it is a third party program. But Gravity long told the players that anything that fabricated an Homunculus AI was perfectly permited. This allowed players to have "legal botting" also known as "homun farming", which was basically construct an AI so that an homunculus would kill anything on sight while the creator kept leveling up and sometimes keeping the items dropped as well.

At any rate, since this is a PK server, it can't bring any harm to us. If any creator starts to farm with their homunculus, you just simply kill both.

In the end, it could be actually interesting to see some creators come up with nicely done AIs that really come in handy in battle.

He desribes it quite well. So no, there's absolutely nothing illegal.

Say I were to use multiple clients on multiple computers,

and set these said creators to attack anything in range with AD

I then unleash them in for_fild01 or somewhere else commonly filled with people.

Anything and everything killed by them is legal. Right?

=D

I know you posted it previously but I just want one more verification.

You could try to, but the creators would only attack what the homonculus attacks or what attacks the homunculus. Given there are many ways to counter AD, I highly doubt even a handful of AI'd creators would be hard to kill; like I mentioned, you can't script complex strategies like some creators have. AI's go as far as homunculus moving, homunculus skills and creator skills.

If you wanted any confirmation, yes. You can multiple client your AI'd creators to form a one-man army. Though I doubt it'll work.

Homonculus dead stops the AD, it's not hard to counter.

It'll be fun for a while, but that's all.

So back on topic. No its called a bot, that's not AI. The only AI in the game is for homonculus. I won't bother posting any information on how to bot.
