Even being in a mod / GM position will automatically gain you popularity even if no one knows you.

Be it what you post someone is going to like it, and someone is going to hate it.

But if you suck as a GM nobody will like you, even if you have "Ownagez0rs GMZilla" Powers, all it matters its quality not quantity (Learned in math/science)

Btw I have to do my homework so btw Nice debate/discussion here, if it wasn't Aso we wouldn't be debating about "Importance"

Oh well I gtg do my homework

*Before my mom gets on my room and see me on the computer and not doing my GODDAM 1st day of school homework /swt"

If you have further issue with me, then please PM me.

Not posting about it and making an issue about it on the actual forum, *****. [Fill it in]

Thank you.

And congrats Aso, Lol.

Even if you got it legit or not. Congrats? xD

p.s. all GMs/Mods are hated and loved

No matter who you are, if you have a status you will have both negative and positive followers.

Yet, if you have no status, you're more likely to just gain negative followers or be overlooked.

So in shorter terms, Quality is good in a GM.

But as for being liked, in all general terms. It's completely irrelevant.

Now there's a place where you're wrong. You basically said that new comers ( since they "have no status" ) will never get noticed and people will hate them.

Orly?

I'm pretty sure Damascus once started as a new player, no? How about Aso, he's a pretty recent player. We ALL started out as new players, so you might want to edit that part of your post out.

That's why the words

"More Likely"

are used, as in greater chance to be overlooked.

I'm sure many of us can agree we didn't post back then and get the responses we do now.

Some people are strong speakers, and some people actually look for that kind of thing.

Which is what starts to earn your status. Even as a new player you are forced to earn that status.

Else, you have a greater chance of being overlooked.

I also GARUNTEE you, that even YOU do not know half of any players that have only

posted once to fifty times since they've joined the forums.

And sadly, even more then tens but even borderlining hundreds of them

Have been here way longer then even I have.

They came and did not strive for that status, so as of today

most of them remain unknown, and overlooked.

I can assure you, I will most likely never edit my own posts.

..I am usually pretty strong on something if I debate it back.

Now please, if you're going to disagree and want a response PM me instead.

Of course this part is true. Who wants to listen to some noob right? Here you can see my uberly humble past self :

Maybe some of those members just don't feel like visiting the forums? Known players like Crono, Al~Niichan, Peter, Smooth, and Amii probably only have like 50 posts. Very known in-game. If people don't know them, they know OF them. And you can't say it's hard to gain a status, because it was WAY harder back then. Now you have multiple groups that accept virtually any type of person. "hi men im nub!! wahh!!!!!!!" "All right, come here and I'll help you out." You can see in that thread that we didn't like each other too much back then.

I agree, it's not hard to gain a status.

Anyone that puts forth effort, be it in game or on the forums eventually builds status.

Want the status or not, you will get it.

Just some ways are faster then others.

Per say, being on the pvp ladder or such multiple times can get you a status known well.

I myself am decently known amongst the forum, but in game [And I keep it this way]

Only 2-4 people know I am me from the forum. And that is usually kept to a minimum.

I think the only person who knows who I really am in game that spams it to other people is Aso.

And because of that I deleted those characters, or merely just don't play them as much.

I choose not to have a status in game.

I don't WoE, GvG, Pvp, Lms, or anything. And if I do, I don't do it till I'm noticed.

Sure, I go to for fild once in awhile.

Kill a few people, be it someone popular like you or some random noob.

It doesn't matter, because unless I pursuit it I won't gain that status.

So I remain unnoticed in game for the most part.

Yet, I have my way of keeping tabs on many people in game.

I actually have quite a few connections even close to you Zack along with many other people.

None of you just realize it's me. Lol.

I don't see how it is easier to get popular by the PvP ladder. o_o I did it by doing the very same thing I still do now. Sit and talk. If there are any new comers reading this, I'd recommend you do this before you start PvPing, unless you don't mind being hated by people. Lol. Now here's the part where I stop typing like this : WHOA WHOA WHOA RYOJI. HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ME? YOU STALKIN ME?

I agree with you, And that is what I mentioned in the post above of yours. Btw today's first day of school was INSANELY HILARIOUS, too bad I can't stay to tell it at all because (Fucking teachers already hand-out homework AT ************* FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL ********.

Lucky for me,we don't get any homework /heh

I wonder where my other post went, and here in this thread you'll see countless spams that doesn't even mean anything or isn't even worth the time reading - and mine gets deleted. ^_^

1st two bold: What If I do? discussions exist everywhere and it will always exist, every second in the world hundreds of people discuss/debate about something, and if you don't know what those words mean then you need to look at a dictionary, discussions help us decide what is the point, what is good or bad, what should be done or not done, and a debate which is a discussion between 2 people or more about a theme, topic, or anything that can cause a debate to start.

2nd/3rd bold: You just repeated what I said.

Not entirely, I was just rephrasing what I said before because you seemed to put it in a different standpoint.

So I changed my view of it to a similar, yet more understandable setup.

And I tell people to PM me, because I envy the GMs/Mods doing it all the time.

*jealous* )=
