Icon Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 Okay so I'm runnin along SG'n anything I see and come across Hollowring, with way more than half of its HP, and I decide that I'm gonna be a prick and out-damage this other wiz(because I know I can) and steal the MVP. Well I did just that, AND I got the MVPaward, BUT the other wiz snatched up the card. I could give a crap less about a Hollowring card since I don't play chumps. NOW my question/issue/gripe is : If I got the MVP award shouldn't this have been my card ? IF SO, why was this other wiz able to pick it up? because he attack'd it first? Is this gonna happen next time I see an MVP card drop? And, IF I have 3 screenshots can I have my card? /heh
Whitefish Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 rofl thats hard. well you did "ks" unless that person couldnt handle/died whatever. 1) card drops arent mvp awards and i think you should of had autoloot on. but when one does more dmg than another person attacking, theres a delay to the item if someone else tries to pick it up. so i think. you bumped in, you got mvp, you should of got the card but you waited to long and the other wizzie got the card.
AsoBark Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 AsoBark once saw three people killing a Dragoon Wizard. They were missing and doing 100's. AsoBark approached the MvP, edp'd, and started attacking. The MvP died quickly after that. When the MvP died, MVP! popped on top of Aso's head, he had autoloot on but the itemz still dropped on the ground. Luckily Aso was quick enough to pick the card up, while the three other people were so happy to get the armors. The End.

KS is not the subject ... can't KS a normal MVP btw The card is not the subject ... if i wanted the card I would have autolooted Apparently I should have typed "I could give a crap less about a Hollowring card" in caps and bold and ital. and bigger. Also, if you look closely, you can see a /heh next to "can i have my card". So back to the delay ... I didn't think you could pick up other peoples drops AT ALL.

Whitefish Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 nm edited. yeah there should be a delay. but im pretty sure the delay is a ratio how much dmg you deal over the other person. so since u came late, you both kinda equaled in the dmg. how fast was the pick up? like right away?

Oh yeah, it was almost instantaneous. edit: the other wiz was doing 300's with JT so I almost positive the damage dealt wasn't equal
Whitefish Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 oh haha ic ic. hmm maybe its the fact that its a custom mvp? ive seen little inconstienticy with the custom mobs. i know the delay was implemented a long time ago to prevent stealing. but maybe the custom mob havent been implemented with that yet. other than that idk. lol
