Miroku Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 So yeah.... I've only been playing RO the past 6-8 weeks (they just flew by. This game is addictive :lol:) on a couple of other servers: The iRO server... for a couple of hours. GatheringRO. Nice place. Expensive stuff ><. and here. One of the things I've noticed that's different about this place is the heavy PK element. Which doesn't bother me unless I'm trying to train up in levels or pick up some cards and someone comes up and just starts attacking me out of the blue with spells or melee attacks!. I don't like whining in others and loathe it in myself, but how do any players expect to get any satisfaction in killing a relative newbie to the game? :huh: Do they get cool,door prizes for each skull, or do they get points towards something else? because... I'm stumped on this. Other than that, glad to be here ^_^ . You guys have some... interesting maps and monsters I haven't had the pleasure of exploring fully yet /rice

I've done the dueling thing on Runescape, and I know it's a bit different here, but outright attacking new players seems to me to be a Bad Thing if it scares away potentially good players... the kind you'd want around here. It certainly almost made me want to uninstall the client. Notice that almost ;)

Welcome to the server! /ok I like to think PvP makes it harder for people to solo. And, I like the thought of people joining forces for the greater good... and all that. Just remember, this game has a really good community and asking strangers to party with you is the best way to make friends when you just join. also, if you need game help, search my guild sites' help page. You'll find the best and only beginner's guide to this server and, an amount of other threads you'll use even later in the game. Thank you :). It does, and yet it also doesn't. It depends on the person who's playing really /ok. I usually play with friends I've made online elsewhere, but starting up conversations anywhere else has been problematic at best. A lot of the people who play the game either speak tagalog or spanish... two languages I'm sadly deficient in :blush: . It usually takes me a while to warm up to new people too, so please don't feel put out from the way I'm saying this :). And thanks for the info! :D I'll give it a looksee when I have time. I thank you all for the very warm welcome too /thx . It's just gonna take some time for me to acclimate. BTW... On the gRO server, the PM box is a birdman in a wheeled mailbox.
