Gauntlet Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 This purely example and never happened to me. [ I didnt do it either =[ ] Let's say, I was sitting in Forsaken City with a Party Hat. Someone then PM's me and offers 50 coupons for my hat. After the deal, the person then realizes that it's not a New Year hat but a Party Hat [ But I already logged off ]. This person then files a "Scammed" Report. Will I get punished, or will this case be dismissed? Thanks. [ BTW, I dont plan to do it. It just popped into my mind. ]
Levis Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 You should trade it back, if that really happened, you had to tell him that's a Party Hat. I guess you will get punished.
Gauntlet Posted June 23, 2008 Author Report Posted June 23, 2008 I see. This didnt actually happen. Anyway, I wanted to know the opinion of many. And I have to say that I totally agree with Dama.
Levis Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 Of course damascus is in right I agree totaly. If it would happened to me I would trade the Coupons back, because it's meanie and we all know what he normally mean, I know too that he doesn't said exactly which Hat, he just said he want your Hat.

Jewel Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 His excuse: "I DID IT FOR TEH LULZ ;-;!" btw ~ Sexy sig ya got thar. ;]
Sensation Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 This is the reason why people screen shot deals. People lie and so the 'scammer' will be put in a disadvantage. It depends on the view, your view is neutral. His view is, "omfg I want that NYH". Seeing the sprite makes him automatically assume it is one. Just make a screen shot with you saying and him confirming the following. While in deal: You: "Are you sure you want this hat?" Him/her: "[insert confirmation here]" Then you're safe, even I would assume you might be lying and return the coupons. Again, screen shots are your best way of proving things (and chat logs). I hope this answer will suffice.
