You need to work on your text more, because most of the text don't exactly blend all that well, especially with the text having texture, outer glow/drop shadow or whatever. Your blending needs a little improvement too. And one suggestion I would make is that keep your background simple. Don't overkill it; simplicity has the most effective impact to our eyes. You can have a lot of effects, but keep it simple. This doesn't apply to you only, it applies to most artists who are planning to become better. And I'd have to agree about having a border too. xD;
