Bruxa Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I started on this server today and so far I like it, besides the bot checker. I died twice today and lost the food stat bonus I had on both times because I was leveling in a high mob place and the second I stopped to type I was killed. I understand the need for such security but I've seen better system in another server: - User gets notified that he/she needs to go to a safer place in the next 15 seconds; - Player proceeds to default city and calmly type the check numbers; - Character verified, both server and player can now be happy. If 15 seconds is too much make it 10, but PLEASE, give the playes the chance to tp to a safe palce before typing the code. Thanks.

The security code you type in is either a word from RO itself or from my personal experience a 3 digit number. Our experiences are definately different and while maybe there are things that can be done to better this system... How it works right now is just fine. If the suggestion were to simply warp you out of the map you're in to another one by default and then have you type the code-- That would be a different story, and one that might be easier for the NPC script to read out.
Bishop Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 I highly doubt this would be necessary because of 3 reasons: 1: You only have to enter a 3-4 letter word which takes about 2 seconds. 2: The bot checker keeps you alive automatically, so it's very unlikely you actually die during the bot check. 3: If we enter the timer it'd be very easy for bots to pick it up and auto-reconnect to evade the bot check.
