geldaz Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 ~My first time using photoshop..no tutorials of any kind since i'm to lazy to youtube.Crit/rate and post tips so I can progress :\
Icon Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 i'd give em all 10/10 ... where'd u steal em from ? hahaha j/k nice work
Clay Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Because it's your first ones and the fact that you didnt use any tutorials, I'll give you a 7/10 : o The size for one..all of them are quite big haha. And well then there's color, sometimes it's good to have a siggy in monotone, but having one or two different colors could also make them better. The pop out effect on the render imo looks bad and there's better ways of blending the render in than just outer glow. And uhm, about the brushing, don't just try to fill up the canvas with brushes that look awesome, that usually makes the siggy look too cluttered and creates no contrast. The viewer will be looking all over the siggy instead of just maybe concentrating on the point you want them to focus on, your render. Some adjustments with brightness and contrast might help with the first and last one. Otherwise impressive and keep up the good work : )
Versace Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 eh.. 6/10 Bruno, If you still want the thing you asked for in game i'll do it tonight, I had no time yesterday... I ended up sleeping at 12:30 & I have school.. so yeah. Give it to you tomorrow.
geldaz Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 The pop out effect on the render imo looks bad and there's better ways of blending the render in than just outer glow. Lol I know,I'd like to know how to make the render blend more in the background..but Noone tells me,nor can I find it out.
Clay Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Layer masks or simply erasing the edges of the stock work really well. Another common technique people use is smudging
Terroryst Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 5/10 for the first one,I don't like the way it looks. 7/10 for the second one,I like the blending but it doesn't appeal to me. 7/10 again for the third one,I like the gradation, but still doesn't appeal to me.
Versace Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 all 6/10 why? It's too big for a signature ^^ I think he meant them to be more of a wallpaper type.
Terroryst Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 I think he meant them to be more of a wallpaper type. Topic says siggies though.
Versace Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Topic says siggies though. I still don't think he meant for it though.
