FallenAngel13 Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 i've read through what some people have suggested to in order to load the client (changing the game screen size, changing it normally and as administrator etc) but nothing works. i dont know why but whenever i load the setup my computer automatically loads it as administrator and i dont know why or how to stop it (im on windows 8 if that helps). all it does when it does partially load is it goes white, then a black border with a white section in the middle then it closes. i've tried every resolution size and it still doesn't work. can anyone help me?
CrimsonKing Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 I am on an iPhone so it is painstaking to surf the web for information, but I have a suspicion that the new graphics drivers supplied in windows 8 may not support this game. I would suggest searching on google recommended graphics driver for this older RO client and download said graphics drivers. I was having a very similar error on a different game and this was my solution. I really hope this helps you. On a side note, I have noticed other player trying to access on windows 8 and failing miserably. I will use this thread as a reference for everybody and continue to add more information as I find it, until we have a solution for this.
