d3mise Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Has anyone killed a Dark Lord and actually gotten a card from it? The reason I'm asking is because I've killed about 30 Dark Lord and none of them drop a single card.. Just wondering if they really do drop their card..OR I just dont have any luck..
Gilgamesh Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 You just have a bad luck =/. It's the same for me, I've killed over 50 Kiels to get a card.
Hrist Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 And it took me 10 tries to get a cheap-ass Skoll. Minor bosses have better chances if you ask me. /heh
d3mise Posted February 22, 2008 Author Report Posted February 22, 2008 Is the drop rate really 10% If it is then we should get atleast 1 card for every 10 MVP we kill..
Zeitgeist Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Is the drop rate really 10% If it is then we should get atleast 1 card for every 10 MVP we kill.. The drop rate is not cumulative. Even if you've killed thousands of Dark Lords, it stays as 10%. Which means every time you kill and MvP, you get one one out of ten chances to get the card.
Terroryst Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Actually,because it is 10%,the chance of getting at 1 out of 10 is.. 10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10 So... 1 ___________ 10000000000 I think that's the chance.
L2Aim Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 You guys complain and play on a high rate server, try Low Rate and get just any card to start with. Come back and be happy with these rates =)
Arianna Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 This isn't straight up 4th grade math, it's probability. It's not 10% x 10 = 100%. It's 10% chance each time to you kill Dark Lord, you get a Card. You can kill it a hundred times and get 100 cards, or no cards at all. On average, you will get 10 cards.
nao-chann Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 7 kill on SK i get card... 16 kill on INCA still no card T__T In my whole life here.. All in the boss card , only SK give me luck T__T
Hrist Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 MVP party results as of yesterday: Cards Acquired: Skoll x2 = 0 Lady Tanee = 0 RSX x2 = 0 Vesper = 1 Amon Ra = 1 Valkyrie Randgris = 0 Atroce = 0 Incantation Samurai = 0 Pharaoh = 0 Turtle General = 0 Its not that bad /swt
Nicole Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 It is good to not easily get the MVP card. This is because to make the server more interesting. Keep up the good works guys. MVP!!
~RyuShin~ Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 well guys you have no LUCK in MVP...
Nicole Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Well. I just kill one Dark Lord and get the card. I'm lucky huh??
Delirium Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 7 thanatos cards out of probably 600 times. Don't think because its 10% you'll get one every 10.
» Pat Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 You guys should know that you can't calculate the chances with normal easy maths. You'll have to use the probability calculus formula which would say : If Ω is indefinitely or countable indefinitely, you can choose the powerset of Ω for σ-algebra Σ. [for countable possiblitys] or . What would only be the easiest part of that formula. So all of your calculations were useless because, actually all of them were wrong. =/ Edit: Not to talk about axiome of kolmogorow or the Bayes Theory.
Terroryst Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 What's with the complicated formula? I thought this was just fractions to the chance of getting one. They said they should get at least one out of every 10,so basic fraction multiplication. Actually, because it is 10%,the chance of getting at 1 out of 10 is.. 10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10x10 So... 1 ___________ 10000000000 I think that's the chance.
» Pat Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Nah not really. This is about the chance/amount of % possiblity to get it dropped. So you can not just multiplicate it. There are so many things that influe the chance of a card being dropped from let's say 10 killed MVPs. For example there are : If you kill the first MVP and no card is dropped, this will influe the chance of the card being dropped next time. But it will influe it in several ways. It is not just one calculation you have to do, the amount of calculations you have to do is Ω. So this is from the first kill now we go to the second kill which doesn't drop a card either. This will change the amount of calculations you have to do to Ωx² if I'm not mistaken. Continue this way until you have killed ten of them. You will end up with something like Ωx^10 * 10Ω * y (y = amount of other criterias). So you see there is a y. Only that what I've just explained isn't all that takes influe on the chance. So the ² is what I meant saying 'in several ways'. I hope you know what I meant. :/
Nicole Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 The 10% amount will increase everytime u killed a MVP.
» Pat Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Uhm No not really. :/ There is a possiblity of a raisement but as I tried to explain, you can not define it in one sentence/calculation.
