[Solved]Forsaken Ro On Windows 8 / Anti-Virus Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

It seems that my anti-virus or Windows 8 seems to have a problem in installing Forsaken RO to my PC.

I used the Direct Download to get the game. After installing, the anti-virus detects the "Forsaken RO Patcher.exe" as malware. However, I also tried, turning off the anti-virus (before reinstalling), even though the FO Patcher runs, the screen resolution then becomes a problem. Making me question if it is compatible with Windows 8?

I hope to run the game with my anti-virus still enabled.

Any suggestions in troubleshooting the problem?

Thanks! :)

Hi,

I was able to make the FkRO.exe run, however, my anti-virus automatically deleted the Forsaken RO patcher.exe. In short, I was able to play the game but may have problems in the future if there may be updates available.

For people interested to know,

1. I made the Setup.exe and FkRO.exe as administrator

2. Go to Properties and there is a compatibility tab to make it run like windows XP (Service Pack 3)

However, I still have the issue on the patcher, I will now have a problem if there be any sprites popping out in the game and can't know of it until I bump into one while playing. Any suggestions on how I get back the Patcher? Or updating the files in Forsaken Ro without having the Patcher.

Thanks

- Try turning off your anti virus.

- Run the patcher.

- Then move then patcher to a usb stick for future use.

^ Good idea

Another is, allow your anti-virus to allow in settings for Forsaken to run. What anti-Virus program do you have?

Hi!

Thank you for the suggestions. However, I found a previous post here in the Forums that helped me a lot for my problem.

Sorry for not browsing it thoroughly before posing this topic. Will post the link later.

The problem is now solved. Happy gaming everyone and thanks again!
