jts5414 Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Im guessing I cant play this game on a mac? I get this message:You can’t open the application “All_In_One_v2.1.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X. Help.... I wanna play.... :(
Decode Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 First of all, there are no dumb questions, in fact I believe that this is a great question. Now back to business, I know of people that play this game on Mac, however since I am not a Mac user and have never used a Mac before I cannot tell you how to do it because I do not know. I guess that you will have to wait for one of the players that actually uses a Mac to play to answer you. Please be patient. 1
Hypnosis Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Google it. It's something dealing with the programs being written for Windows. There are multiple programs you can use to run Ragnarok Online, I personally wouldn't know because I don't use Mac, But I know there is a way to make it run on your PC
Veracity Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 I don't have a Mac but others have asked this in the past, there are programs that allow you to run Windows on your Mac, such as Parallels. I would google it. :)
Autopsies Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) You'll have to use Boot Camp. http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ Edited March 7, 2013 by Autopsies
jts5414 Posted March 7, 2013 Author Report Posted March 7, 2013 Hmm. Bootcamp eh? Im gonna try that and see what happens.... what exactly is it?
jts5414 Posted March 7, 2013 Author Report Posted March 7, 2013 blahh i have to have to have a CD of windows 7 or something. looks hard to configure :( damn
Autopsies Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Hmm. Bootcamp eh? Im gonna try that and see what happens.... what exactly is it?It's a program that allows you to dual-boot operating systems (which would be Windows and Mac). I'm not too savvy on it so I can't help you with the ins and outs of the program, I just know it's a way for Mac users to play RO.
Bishop Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) Autopsies is right. Bootcamp allows you to choose which operating system to run. basically you'd have windows installed on your Mac aside from the default operating system. It takes a little to set-up but is very useful for windows-only applications. (There used to be a ton of windows only applications. Though they are getting rare nowadays). Either way if you do not want to use Bootcamp or a dual boot system of any sort you'll have to download what they call a "Virtual machine" this will simply be a program that you run. Within this application you'll be running windows. Within this application you'll install Ragnarok and perhaps even play Ragnarok. Which Virtual machine suits you best is up to you. If you want an example of a virtual machine you could google VMware Player. Edited March 11, 2013 by Bishop
