Hayatori Posted October 24, 2012 Author Report Posted October 24, 2012 This is gonna sound weird but try it anyway as I've only seen this problem once before. 1: log in if the map is black close your client. 2: open setup.exe set your client to fullscreen. Open your client. Log in. 3: it will probably still be black. Log out again. 4:change the settings back to none full screen and log in. This might bring your client back to none-blackness however it's only a temp. solution. Also this might sound silly but, make sure you're not zoomed out too far and dont try to change the camera angle with shift and right click. It didn't work at all. Not even temp. Still black. :(
Bishop Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 Do you have this on multiple maps or just one ? Are you using mouse freedom or not ? Does your sound continue working when the screen is black or not ?
Hayatori Posted October 24, 2012 Author Report Posted October 24, 2012 When the screen is black, the sound still works and it's black on all maps except when I'm inside a shop, hotel, etc... As for mouse freedom, I have the .dll thing for it but I don't think it's working.

I tried reinstalling several times, that didn't work. Even though this issue isn't solved yet, I would like to thank everyone for trying to help, especially Bishop and Genesis. I hope the issue gets solved soon though. Thanks everyone!

Bishop Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 I personally use firefox as well. never had issues with it. Though I always use a download accelerator too. Redownloading all and re-installing might work. Maybe something just corrupted your download but I still think it's an combination of the screen setup (setup.exe) and windows user rights <- Hence why you should be running the client not the patcher and try running the client in both administrator mode and none administrator mode. Also still waiting for your response on this question : Open your setup.exe. What does it show at the top bar ?
