Mint Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Hey, yeah people are always complaining that is so difficult to sell & buy items ingame. I also noticed that the ForsakenRO Control panel lists all items in your storage. So I was wondering if you could use this list, and the control panel to create a Market which is accessible through the website where you can buy & sell items without player interaction, because of the various time-zones of the people playing, it can be difficult to find people selling/ buying the rarer items.
thePast Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 Hmm, there's actually a system to do this kind of thing in RO, It's called auction house, i've tried it and it is still available at fRo but there's a few problems tho. :\ First, fRo have disabled mailbox, so it's impossible to do. the auction house will send you the item to the mailbox when you win a bid/auction. Second, It was originally in zeny, unless someone know how to change it to tokens, it might work. It would be nice if we had a market like what Mint has mentioned.
zergling Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 it's possible to set the auction house to trade tokens instead of zeny it's just a little change in the code. instead of having the monetary value of the zeny in the code for the auction house you just put the code for the tokens. but the first suggestion is a good one and it might be able to be done almost like the way the vote items are done.
Veracity Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 The auctioning system was removed because it's exploitable, and I think adding something like what you're suggesting could have serious problems/exploits. Although the idea is a good one, we unfortunately will not be able to do something like this at the current time.
