HealHard Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Problem: Fparts are all the same so we can not bind exact armor on BM layout. So either you switch them one by one (which is dangerous as you can be asurad while you have no ghostring on) or search for the armor using mouse and being unable to fight back during this process. Solution: Make 1-2 more Fsets with different IDs and exactly same effects. So you can bind the most needed fparts to BM and switch to them asap. For example it would be a good idea to make one type of armors with gr(+tao,+ol,+rsx...) and others with Taos. Same with cloaks - some with skolls (2x skoll or ray/skoll) others rays/devs. How to implement it: make an exchanger NPC that trades Fking part to Fking part of new set. boot->boot, cloak->cloak etc. also the refinement rate should be kept.

Decode Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 I +1 this suggestion. I saw somewhere an NPC that would give a certain item an special attribute, like for example lets divide it in colors, red, blue and green. Legends: Red = Offensive equipment. Green = Defensive equipment Blue = Extra. When you give one item to the NPC it makes that item one of those colors [tags it] and with the color an exact different ID to the others. So here is an example: In your inventory right now you have 8 armors. 2 of them are Red. 4 of them are Green. 2 of them are Blue. And you have them distributed on the following keys: f1 = Red, f2 = Green, f3 = Blue. when you hit the f1 key you will be just going through the 2 red armors instead of going through all the 8 different armors that you have in your inventory. Let me know if you got lost somewhere.
supream Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 if its not to hard to do and you give people the option of changing what gears they want to be different then +1
Kittie Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Yes please! It would make it very easy to macro equipment changes! :3
Bishop Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 I actually disagree with this. Changing gear is an essential part of Ragnarok. It can be used as an advantage but it can also be a disadvantage when you want to carry too much. It's a risk that you'll have to live with if you choose to carry 8 armors.
Dudu Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I dont really mind with this since, i play proffesor 24/7 and i dont have space to put my gears in my skill bar, because they are all full and i use everysingle skill that its on it. This is pretty useful tho, it will help alot with gear changing, and it will increases people survival ingame.
Levis Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 All in all it wouldnt bring any disadvantage, at least none that I know of. But I agree with Bishop saying that it is a part of the gameplay. Personally I dont have any further void space in my battlemode to fill more than 1 "type" of Armor, Cloak and etc. because I am not just bound to F Sets, also using other various weapons which dont belong to that section. In conclusion I'd say, if it's doable and people who know how to script it correctly and if the majority agrees, we COULD implement it, but not necessary to a lot of players yet.
killee07 Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) -1. Switching equipment in the middle of something (PvP,breaking, etc.) uses player skills and requires appropriate timing and thinking. It is a risk and is a part of the game that shouldn't be altered. Just my opinion. Anyway, does anybody carry 8 armors at once? Edited March 30, 2012 by killee07
killee07 Posted April 14, 2012 Report Posted April 14, 2012 (edited) 4 - 8. Yes, I do. Then it's a matter of alt+E-ing and looking for the appropriate armor while avoiding battle. Works just fine. Edited April 14, 2012 by killee07
Levis Posted April 15, 2012 Report Posted April 15, 2012 I dont have a problem with switching my gears, it's a part of the game and I accept it. And it makes it more competitive for me, because you can lose by a little mistake (such as using a wrong Armor).
