Veracity Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 From now on, we are not going to be lenient on inactivity. As such, we're introducing a new "Strike" system. This is a breakdown of how it works: If a GM is inactive (for 1 week of unexcused absence), they will be given a warning or a "strike" by a higher level GM or Administrator. This is a "3 strikes you're out!" policy: once you receive your 3rd strike, you will be kicked from the team. No exceptions. The only excused absences that will be given are for medical conditions, death of a family member, or extenuating circumstances where you do not have internet access You must explain your situation to Veracity over MSN/forum PM in order to be given an 'excused absence' Some examples of unexcused absences are... Saying you are busy with school/work and being inactive for long periods of time. No matter how busy you are, I'm sure you can find a half hour or less to log on and host at least 1 event every couple of days. If you have finals, that's one thing: but finals last for a week or two at most, not months. Disappearing with no explanation. If there's a serious issue, please have one of your friends on the team make a topic and notify me. Being inactive on your GM, but playing on your legit all of the time. Coming up with any other excuses that aren't legitimate or trying to lie. If there's any sort of issue, try running it by me. I'll try my best to be understanding, or we can work out an agreement... but never lie. Veracity will be the one overseeing GM Activity. I'll be monitoring activity in game, on the forums, and event/punishment logs. You will be notified each time you receive a strike and I'll keep track of everyone's privately. This new system starts now. No one will be given special treatment regardless of how long you've been here. GM activity is essential to any good server, and it's not fair for us to put all of the weight on just a select few GMs or the new ones. If everyone works as a team, it will make it easier on all of us and will make the server more enjoyable for everyone. Thank you to everyone for your understanding and dedication to the server. Keep up the good work! If you have any questions about this or any other recent changes, feel free to ask me on MSN!
