Kittie Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 The second one is great. It looks like you combined the render with a kind of stock background with other enhancements? Looks pretty fluid and I like how the subject subtly stands out. The text is done well too. 1
nines Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 First one needs the text moved over to the left. the bottom right side needs some darkening with the feather tool. and the bottom half of the render needs some darkening to. Second one is really good fits black rock shooter perfectly. I want that c4d now :P Third one you can change the hues on the c4ds a little bit or ctrl+b it and work with those color adjustments so its not so plain. maybe add some sparkle areas here and there. fourth one. the bubble c4d is good but the other one is pretty out of place. id consider finding a good fractical for that one and adding a glow to the render. 1
Accel Posted June 19, 2011 Report Posted June 19, 2011 1. The background is kinda dark compared to the C4D's you use. And some of these C4D's don't match the flow/theme of it. It's overly contrasted and the text does not fit. Use the rule of thirds. 7/10 2. Great sig. The flow and theme of the sig is good. The C4D and other effects are well placed and looks nice. Using a few other gradients might make the colors balance but overall, nicely done. 9/10 3. For a C4D sig, this is good. The flow is good, the blending isn't as good as the other sigs. The right part of the sig feels out of place and the whole c4d does not match the render. Changing the color/contrast/brightness will probably enhance the image. 6/10 4. Personally, I don't like this sig. The render is a little out of place, maybe a little more to the right. The render itself should have blend with the sig. The bubbles feel out of place, and the flow is in the wrong direction. The C4D in the right does not fit the whole sig. Too dark and different. 6/10 Using more gradient maps will make it better, blending (the render isn't blended in the background), the text isn't that good, other than number 2. You should also add borders. But overall, very nice works. 1
Elaice Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) @Kittie selective color, added filters, color balance and adjustments ftw (: @nines & accel I totally agree with you on the fourth signature, I had second thoughts of posting the signature myself because I feel the need make changes and as for the first signature I wanted the render to stand out by adding depth so I darkened the sides and the edges of the signature. @Everyone thank you! Your feedback surely helped I'll update soon :) Edited June 22, 2011 by Elaice
Elaice Posted June 24, 2011 Author Report Posted June 24, 2011 (edited) Progress update! Added :) Edited June 24, 2011 by Elaice
Horizon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 They look amazing, I'm wish I could make sigs that great. I'm not that great when it comes to photoshop, I'm learning though.
Elaice Posted June 25, 2011 Author Report Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) Believe me my previous signatures were really bad. I guess it just takes time and effort. You can always start with tutorials, it helped me with the things I needed to know on photoshop. I'm looking forward to seeing your signatures, good luck :) Edited June 25, 2011 by Elaice

Kittie Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 I like the border that you did here (on the left). It's different and not seen very often. You do good work overall. It's more a personal preference of mine to leave text small and subtle. It should add to the pieces and relate to them, not draw all the attention. Otherwise, very nice!
Seraphine Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Some really nice signatures Elaice keep it up!
Ioder Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Outstanding job Elaice. They look amazing o_o -Ioder

Nelly Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 They're awesome! :3 But its kinda too complicated. o-o nah she make the picture look more 3d ...and the effect goes around look fantastic :O
Fafnir Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 Astounding masterpieces you have there, Elaice. I was fascinated, especially the Flandre sig. :3
Azazel Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) I recently started using "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1" It's weird and I'm really not that good at it. However, I did manage to make a signature without losing my sanity :D. This' the end result, It would've been better if I could figure out how to use ALL the effects (I also couldn't find any good renders so I stuck with "Xin Zhao" from League of Legends). Edit* Just wondering what everyone's opinion is. Edited July 3, 2011 by Azazel

Elaice Posted July 6, 2011 Author Report Posted July 6, 2011 (edited) Renders: http://www.planetrenders.net/ http://www.animerender.com/ (I get most of my renders from here) http://www.deviantart.com/ Try making signatures with sizes such as these and I suggest you follow tutorials, it's a good start :) As for your signature, the rocky texture matches with the render and not to mention the text blends with the background pretty well, Keep it up!
