Justice Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 So, I've started to notice that myself and Veracity are pretty much the only one's moderating the forums.. More so, I'm the only one who's actually apply punishments according to our rules. I've seen many of you post in a topic where someone was flamed and you do nothing about it. As GM's, we are supposed to moderate the forums. Please do so. When you see someone getting flamed, hide the flamer's post AND INCREASE THEIR WARN LEVEL. Here are the Forum Moderation Rules if you haven't seen them yet. Please start moderating the forums better and look out for stuff that shouldn't happen: Forum Rules Spam: (to do short/incoherent/irrelevant posts) Seriously, I believe your vocabulary extends to more than "LOL". You have all the time to post; write something insightful. Posts containing only one word will be treated as spam, whether it is relevant to the topic or not. Keep personal one-on-one discussions out of threads - that is what the Private Messaging (PM) system is for. Please note: quoting another's post and re-posting it without any contribution or comment on the original poster's statement qualifies as spam and will be punished as such. First offense: -10% warn. -Post deletion Second offense: --If repeated constantly-- -20% warn per spam post. -24 post restriction. -Post deletion. Flame: (to insult other player's behaviors/looks/tastes) Flame wars are fun to watch, but also ruin the look of our community. You can have as many fights with players as you may want, and for the reasons you may want to pick, but keep it off of the community's view. First offense: -10% warn per flame post -All flame posts deleted Second offense: --if repeated constantly-- -20% warn per flame post. -24 hour post restriction. -All flame posts deleted. Provoking/"Baiting": This is an amendment to the rules prohibiting flaming. Provoking verbal fights is now a punishable offense. This includes, but is not limited to: creating posts intended to cause controversy, unrest, or a negative reaction; continuous personal conflicts with other members; and 'baiting' people into breaching a rule. Continued abuse will result in a ban from the forums. First Offense: Verbal warning Subsequent Offenses: All offenses thereafter will warrant a 10% warn Pointless topics: (Constantly posting topics that are, in no way, relevant to the subforum category they were poted on) First offense: -10% warn. -Closed topic. Second offense: -10% warn. -24 hour post restriction and account lock. -Closed topic. Posting false server information: (Posting false information about new items/quests/modifications or any other sort of topic that regards ForsakenRO as a server.) First offense: -Account ban. Second offense: -IP/universal account ban. Reviving old topics: (Please, read what the date of the last post is before you post yourself.) First offense: -10% Warn. -Topic closed. Second offense: -10% Warn. -3 day posting restriction. -Topic closed. Signature rules: Signature sizes should be short and not consist of any vulgar, pornographic or offensive pictures/words. Signatures should not advertise other servers nor promote usage of illegal programs. Any signature that has been warned / removed may be altered to any acceptable material but if the previous signature is added again the user may be penalized. Allowed forum signature size: 300x300 px First offense -Signature removal / Message Warning --if advertising another server-- -IP/Universal account ban Second offense -Signature removal / Private message warning Third offense -Signature removal / account suspension for 5 hours Fourth/Final offense -Signature removal / Punishment will be discussed with the Game Masters Avatar rules: Avatars should display anything that you want that does not offend the community that views it. Pornography, Sexual Pictures, Vulgar Language, Advertisement, Racial slurs or promotion of illegal programs will not be tolerated. First offense -Message warning --if advertising another server-- -10% warn. Message warning. Second offense -Post warning (able to be viewed by the public) --if advertising another server-- -IP/Universal account ban. Third/Final offense -Punishment will be discussed with the Game Masters Member Impersonation (To misrepresent yourself as someone else) This rule also includes "mocking" names similar to that of another member. First Offense -Will vary on staff criteria and severity of offense.
