Xtopher Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 An action MMO thats supposed to come out this year in NA/EU. If I can get a better computer after college graduation I might try it out. I really like the archer class.. you actually have to aim your shots.Archer gameplay:
Apo Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Yet an other highly anticipated MMO, but not that good tho.
Annie ♥ Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I want dragon nest, and vindictus EU, although I've given up in vindic. Edit: The magic classes in this game look hawt. Edited March 23, 2011 by Annie ♥
Xtopher Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 seems like final fantasy 11 http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=56QbrXT_mTo I fail to see how these are alike. Final Failtasy 11 sucked.
TensaZangetsu Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) I've actually played FF11, and they look similar to me in my opinion and FF11 was awesome man one of the first MMO games. This game is party base game which why it makes this game really fun doing quest, leveling, fighting boss etc is all revolve around a party. Edited March 24, 2011 by TensaZangetsu
Xtopher Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 I've actually played FF11, and they look similar to me in my opinion and FF11 was awesome man one of the first MMO games. This game is party base game which why it makes this game really fun doing quest, leveling, fighting boss etc is all revolve around a party. FF11 was no where near one of the first MMOs. It was introduced in 2002 and barely made enough profit in 3 years to break even. FF11 depends on the ugly and over done FF menu system. The topic game is an action MMORPG. Even most final failtasy fans disregard FF11. The phrase MMO was introduced in the mid 1980's and the first game classified as a MMO was Island of Kesmai. The game cost $12 per hour. Adjusted for inflation that would be about $25 per hour now.
TensaZangetsu Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) I'm well aware of Island of Kesmai, and you called that a game, and I said one of the first not the first first game lmfao don't make me laugh, even though are technology wasn't advance at that stage but still that shit was no way near a so called "game". I'm a final fantasy fan and played all the final fantasy series and loved it. FF11 was made EXACTLY like your Final Fantasy RPG game that you would play on your PS2 but just online. I mean if you say you're a fan of Final Fantasy and hate FF11 when it have similar game play to the FF series then the obvious reason is you didn't put any time into the game and just rage quit or you aren't a fan, I mean like i said that game is extreme time consuming. I mean when that game launches a warning pops up saying "Don't forget your family your friends and your school yada yada, and that's why most people never commit to the dam game and just quit. Those FF menus is necessary and really organize and original was also the same style as your typical Final Fantasy menu setup which was necessary, and I assumed you never tried and FF11 or FF in general and just basing these facts from and article you got from google or something. This is a fan telling you his opinion on FF11. Edited March 24, 2011 by TensaZangetsu

This is a fan telling you his opinion on FF11. My points: FF11 is not the same type of game as Tera Online. The menu system may have been "necessary" for FF11 and sure it upheld the way the other games are formatted, but its nothing like Tera so I don't see your point in comparing the two. FF11 was barely profitable in comparison to the rest of the games they have released. FF11 was not one of the first mmorpgs. Period. The genre had a 17 year history before the game was ever released. Sidenotes: I have played through FF7 and FF10 so I know the games (Recently sold a copy of 7). I'm not a fan of the series but I do have a few friends who own all the games and they completely disregard 11. WoW also gives frequent messages to players telling them to remember their responsibilities outside of gameplay... Many games do... its simply a PR thing the companies adopted to seem more sensitive to addicts. Finally, this isn't some rant topic about FF11. I'm not saying the game is horrible, but it was marketed to a very specific group (final fantasy fans of course). I posted this topic to generate conversation about the game in my original post: Tera Online. If you would like to continue this discussion PM me. Ontopic: The reason I'm looking forward to this game is its action feeling. I'm really happy to see more action oriented MMOs coming out. I hate sitting there just mashing hotkeys on a auto targeted enemy... I've always been more of a hack and slash type of guy. Continent of the Ninth also fits this genre and I'm looking forward to it to... @Annie: Vindictus is another awesome action mmo... Its really sad that they haven't released it in Europe but I wouldn't lose hope. They are updating the NA version very rapidly... They've released two major content updates just this month alone putting the NA version not TOO far from Korea... So hopefully after the NA version is up to date and stable they'll just copy it over to the EU.
TensaZangetsu Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) 1.Like I said before its my opinion that it looks the same, so lets leave it at that okay? 2.Who said anything about how much they make? 3.we're talking about FF11 and MMORPG and not about the rpg series they release and yes its ONE of the first online rpg ever released. PERIOD. 4.Good to know. All i said was it was similar to FF11 and i assumed you respect my opinions and i was just commenting on what you said like you did to me and if i offended you in any way i apologize. Apo Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Done already? I played any Final Fantasies from NES to PS3 and F11 sucked, its a personal choice kthxbai, now back to Tera
TensaZangetsu Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 (edited) @apo, heheh funny little boy you are =] anyways does this game have a monthly fee? Edited March 25, 2011 by TensaZangetsu
Xtopher Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 It will probably be between $10-15 though they haven't announced it yet. Don't have to worry about imbalanced cash shops though... a lot of great korean games are screwed with cash shops.
Annie ♥ Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Monthy Fee? qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq
Apo Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Monthly fee is whats making the game actually good, else they get those retarded item shops that disturbs the whole economy.
Xtopher Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Monthly fee is whats making the game actually good, else they get those retarded item shops that disturbs the whole economy. Agreed. Most good games charge a monthly fee... F2P usually get by providing lower end products with cash shops. Personally, I prefer a higher end product with no cash shop but a monthly fee.
