Appie Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 My suggestion is to add a pvp room similar to the annihilation event. That means: No customs, no berries/ygg seeds. My reasoning is simply for testing builds and becoming more skillful with non-customs builds. At the moment I think there's a lack of interest for the Annihilation event because so many of the players don't know how to play their classes without the customs they are so used to using. So having a place to go without worrying about being pk'd or people faking builds/cheating would be pretty awesome and hopefully get more players participating in the Annihilation event regularly.
Phenomenon Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 I believe this idea was already accepted quite some time ago.
nines Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 Eh sounds like a waste of time for the scripters imo.
Masahiro Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 yeah this been accepted b4, but i wanna have it implemented 2 lol
Rune Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 I agree 100% on this one. Mainly, people aren't participating in the Annihilation event merely for the reason they don't know how. Every single person I've instructed how to properly gear for the event have all given good feedback and praised the event. It just lacks the incentive and training, for as it was mentioned, players are currently too used with the customs. The only problem I see in the event as of now, is that people have only 3 chances a week to try it, which limits the fun that can be had with it.
nines Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Not that they don't know how they don't wanna vs soms big ass gay gang of boosting him x.x
Seraphine Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 I agree 100% it's a really good idea.
Halion Posted January 19, 2011 Report Posted January 19, 2011 i agree, but prizes shouldn't be same as in normal pvp ladder :p
Xtopher Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 i agree, but prizes shouldn't be same as in normal pvp ladder :p If this is implemented it the kills here shouldn't count towards ladder. In fact I don't think there should be any reward system for this room. It seems to be more for educational/pvp practice purposes to help people prepare for Annihilation. Your prize is being more prepared for Annihilation events.
nines Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 .....People won't go in with no purpose. If anyone where to pvp test there builds hey guess what there is a whole server to do that on...I don't go to pvp to test builds I go to for fild. People could just go 50 50 and test there builds vs there friends. Why bother wasting the scripters time on making this room keeping it out of ladder and only allowing certain gear in there when there is other stuff that needs to be worked on.
zac Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 i think this is great. implement it soon. some people like to have fun without customs. i dont think there should be a ladder tho, but if there was, it should reward with iro unreleased headgears or sumthing.
Kusanagi Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 (edited) Eh sounds like a waste of time for the scripters imo. you just duplicate a 2 line code lol add 1 line in two files in the grf and load 1 damn file into the map registry. 15 minutes job lol Why bother wasting the scripters time on making this room keeping it out of ladder and only allowing certain gear in there when there is other stuff that needs to be worked on. They dont need to do anything about the ladder lol, they use a map restricted system wich means anything new doesnt instantly count unless they were to add it. and since they have already created a blocking script all they need to do is copy it to the access script in the pvp room. Even if they coulnt copy for some half-minded reason then its just again 5 minutes job. Edited February 7, 2011 by Kusanagi
Veracity Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Right now it wouldn't be practical for us to do something like this. Perhaps in the future. Thank you for your suggestion though! - Rejected -
