yeah, I know not many people have this shield, but I don't think you will need one to be able to agree/disagree on my suggestion.

The shield, as of now, increases the damage dealt with shield chain when used by a paladin by 15%. I love that we're trying to create offensive versatility within the paladin class, but I don't think this effect does much considering the Cross Shield does +30% more damage when using shield chain and weights 50 weight more. All I'm suggesting is increasing that 15% to something of a 35% to 50%. Now I know that the reduction and all the other good stuff from frigg's should make up for it, but the effect itself is rather insignificant if you're trying to be offensive on a paladin. Shield Chain is ALWAYS neutral property, and long range, so there are sooo many ways to reduce/null it's damage in PvP. I want to make that skill a viable choice for paladin's to use while in PvP, and an increase wouldn't hurt. Even more than 50% would be nice tbh.

As long as the skill remains a neutral element, damage increase shouldn't really matter that much since in most (if not all) cases it is far less deadly than its neutral skill counterpart, sac. Just nothing too drastic that could change the paladin's role.

paladins must have another offense skill!, since the other two sucks, like holy cross or martyr -.-

I have the shield and I've been playing around with Rapid Smite... it does good damage but as you said it's ranged and neutral so very easy to counter it. The other Paladin offensive skills are very easy to counter as well (angeling for holy cross/grand cross and gr+rays for martyr/rapid smite).

The problem is that converts just converts weapon not shield there no exist (Up to I know) a script to elelemenatal for shield.(If there is a script welcome be)

GR card nerfs shield chain (Rapid Smiting) by like 500%... and this was only tested on Stalker, Paladins are probably nerfed even more....

I know theres script for changing the element of weapon/armor... is it possible to do this for shield? Or as suggested I guess increase the damage % bonus.

I don't think we should increase the shields weight too much, its at 150 atm I would say 250 tops... remember some classes don't use str and are restricted in the weight area.

Well basically not shield should be boosted but skill, however it was suggested before and it was said theres No way to change property of skill

i agree with the first post and the concept of all of this, i think paladins deserve some buffing in areas like these

shield chain, sacri gc, all of these are their major offensive skills and 2 out of the 3 mentioned puts them in harms way and are easily countered. Sacrifice especially would have been intended for use when it wouldnt have been thought that GR would be as popularly used or readily available to the average joe.

On rates and communities like these nowadays where everyone owns one it makes life as a paladin tough. its unfortunate that all they've become are devo whores and their best hope now lies in them either coma'ing you, forcing you to reflect yourself to death or stripping your shield and then "trying" to kill you.

shield chain on lower rates are their one of their most viable offensive skills. just like spiral for Lks, i think shield chain deserves some attention.

Agreed. When you are damage-locked by creator for instance Paladin cant do anything really. Boosting Rapid Smiting by like 50% will help a little to balance out incoming/dealt damage.

We can definitely increase the damage of shield chain and/or the weight of the shield, I think it's very reasonable and everyone provided good reasons in favor of it. It will not be increased too dramatically though.
