nines Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Well since the release of the thanatos event with the 1% so far only one person has gotten one out of like 48 thanatos's and 1% was still just luck to get it. So Im suggesting make it so that regular summoned thanatos is 1% also and Scroll thanatos is 1.50% drop chance Also there were no bonuses added for the taekwon class on the new hats. Maybe add it to the helm of darkness? like 20% more damage to all 80% more damage with all kicks. Or a fun alternative give taekwons 197 aspd and 10% more damage to all. XDDD
Anarii Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I think the thanatos event was designed to make it hugely luck based while keeping the card exclusive, no? As for taekwon buffs on the new hats, I don't see why they should be left out.

People usually default skolls and since the new friggs shield does 10% less vit defense also stacking skolls thana will basically become useless aside from woe and for champs maybe. I know a lot don't have the friggs yet but it will get wide spread soon enough so...yahhhh

Angels&Demons Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) I don't really see why not make the thanatos drop rate at normal 1%. Every hour there are 5 thanatos spawned at 1% drop rate. This has been going on for about a week and a half now, or more precisely 12 days. So, assuming that the patch is implemented at midnight, that would be 24 (hours a day) x 5 (thanatos spawned) x 12 (days running) = 1440 thanatos spawned, and with only 1 person actually getting the card. 1440 thanatos is like summoning it in thana_boss for 120 days (assuming that you summon it every 2 hours and don't sleep). So if we set aside statistics for a while and assume that one will get a card after killing 1440 thanatos, it means that a person would have to kill thanatos consecutively for 12,000 (Multiplied by 100 since the actual drop is 0.01%) days in order to get 1 card. I do get that people actually hunt thana, but it's because they can't do anything else to get it and frankly speaking, they've got nothing else better to do on the server. You either get rich by laddering [Dominated by low ping people (near the server)], get drops from WoE (Dominated by big guilds and 2% drop chance + other members) or by farming yggs / speeds / FCPs (lots of existing competitors). So basically, we're left with donating, which not a lot of people are actually willing to do. All I'm saying is that, 0.01% isn't really all that appealing. And it's not actually encouraging for new people to stay in the server if they know that getting a thana is as far-fetched as finding a gold bar on the street. If this thanatos event is actually to 'test' if the drop chance of thanatos would be imbalanced at 1%, I guess this answers the question. Only 1 of the 1440 thana spawned dropped a card. (Although I am only basing my argument on the fact that Nines only mentioned only 1 got it. We wouldn't really know. Edited November 6, 2010 by Angels&Demons

Since when was it 12 days? Unless my life lags a week behind. Lol. Maybe 0.1% (and same should go for IP[1], if that happens), then .5~1% for the scroll. 1% sounds okay, 50 Event Tokens is huge money. Aaaand if ever TK Boy/Girl gets a bonus it should be with its related job-class hat, which is what... the Tengu Mask / Necromancer Hood. More damage would be welcome, but I wish the weapon didn't kill the ASPD so badly.

Regardless of how many Thanatos you kill in for_fild01 the drop rate is always 1% each time you kill it. For normal Thanatos it's .01% each time you kill it. You could kill it once and get a card or 1,000,000 times and not get a card. As for changing the real Thanatos... The last topic went back and forth for a long time and the product of it was the Thanatos scrolls. I really don't know if it will be pushed further than that... maybe you could get them to drop the price of the scrolls.

Like Imperial Valkyrie Helm from castle. It drops at .50% which is less than 1%. Doesn't take me long to get a green imp. Got it 4 times. I'm not complaining that we should increase it. I'm just saying that I have bad luck.

The reason why the event thanatos were able to have this was because they are different mobs with temporary variables which you can't set permanently. - Rejected - New hats suggestion: We can definitely add in something for the Taekwon class to the Halloween headgears. - Accepted -
