Taerran Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 This is my "ART." Like, actual art I do, not sigs or anything. This one was freelance commission. Fun shit man. =) As aforementioned, feel free to critique if you can, but don't try to "critique" and just post something it doesn't need. Like "Oh, good job, but the hair is too dark" If the hair was lighter, it wouldn't flow with the image, and it would throw everything off. ^^ Also, for best quality please view at full res.
nao-chann Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Cool but I'ts to Scary when u look and shes likea a zombie o.o
nao-chann Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 omg .. you are my dream girl .. ilu .. Lolo Your Crazy La ^^
Sapphirel Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I am not a fan of those mutilated stuff so I'd just have to let you settle for a 3/10. Its quite scary in my opinion.
Taerran Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 Thanks! I was shooting for scary =) I like doing macabre and horror style artsies. Vapor- What do you mean by balance? Saph- Uh.. thanks? o.0 Scary rocks Icon- Way to contribute to nothing.
Terroryst Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I think that her left eye,the one that appears right to us,should've been an empty socket, like when you look at the eye hole in a skull. It would've contributed to the alternating show parts.
Terminus Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I love it! You should become a professional artist. I give it a 10/10. The girl is so sexy. MAYBE EVEN SEXIER THAN DUN DUN DUN AMI!? First of all, I love the red eyes, but its not exactly realistic since dead people lose their eyes or it decays. The head is also not so realistic because underneith all that empty waste of matter is your skull. Not some twigs that try and look like a part of your head. Next, the teeth. If it had a proper dental hygienist when it was alive, I would say the teeth would be straight and not so crooked. Unless of course she was poor or azn. Next, the nose, if she was really half dead, I don't think there would be any boooogeerrrs in there since boooooogggggerrrs only form when air passes through the hairs of your nose and the saliva through your mouth. Next, hair. If she was really dead, I would say her hair would be white but I have no true facts about it so no comment. Finally, is her poo-c half dead or is it part of her "alive" part?
Taerran Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 lol. The nose isn't boogers, thats just the way the lighting is. I'll edit the colors to be blacker instead of green. Any suggestions on what I could replace the mud and straw with? It looked too empty with just the skull or her face there, and I don't want to overuse the tears. The red eyes do kinda fit, because technically she's undead. A demonic zombilike thing can have that. I see where you're coming from, though. Without one eye it looked.. I dunno.. lacking. I've seen enough dead people to know that your hair doesn't change colors. Eventually, after decay long enough, it would lose pigment and turn grey, but since she's half living, half decaying, I can get away with that =D I will try bringing some detail back to the hair though, and see how it looks. I'm not sure if you meant the 10/10 comment or were just being sarcastic, but your critique opened my eyes to some things I could improve on. Its much appreciated, mate. Thanks! =) And I'm currently working on a major to become a professional artist. Eventually I hope to do concept art for horror style movies or games. You now, stuff like saw. Oh yeah. She is totally sexy. She's a model I work with out at college, and omg *drools* She's Irish. Thats not why she's hot, but I saw you mentioned something about azn.
drax13 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Did you make that from scratch? Because its really good. Just a little creepy though >_<
Taerran Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 No, the girl is a photograph of a model at college. TECHNICALLY thats not "scratch" I guess it depends on what scratch is. I used alot of photos of random textures I took, like the cracks in her face, and the skull is a photo I took of one in anatomy class.
