Ethereal Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I'd say no thank you to both ideas. The Emperium HP is perfectly fine, so what if it takes longer to kill? It provides a better challenge for defending guilds and attacking guilds. Defending guilds would actually have a better chance of keeping the castle- and actually promotes more defense rather than the regular 1000000000 breaker sins running around loose. And as for the PvP ladder- just a big no. Disabling ladder during WoE actually provides players with more of a challenge to win ladder.

The strategy now is just pill poppers which the person recommending this is in that guild qqing really. Everyone is just now frenzying right on the emp and its breaking super fast, there is no longer defense cause it is all breakers -.- and the guild that does defend who never losses there castle really Influence because of cheap tactics and having wpe slave set up on the emp to spam saftey wall the second it goes down, 900x easir for them. 2. Castle defense has always been possible i had 20 people in extinction when i was leading it and we held off 3 full guild ecalls including loli and drax and all of them -.- still had like 24 eco was highest we got with me leading. Was very possible with 68m. 3. 100m is a great idea adding 190m to the emp? Edu your an idiot for recommending that <.< just ruined woe now it is truly even more of a emp rush. and god...Euro? gonna be 9000x worse with all the gypsys and breakers so now you can have a 3 man defense and hold the emp for a couple minutes and if a big guild gets it guess what its not breaking <.<.

Well my point of view to WoE now is, get a guild with many members, and hold the castle for a long time. From experience from the 1st WoE which was an American WoE, there was one occasion that there were 5 - 7 Breakers on Emp. Some frenzied as usual, since it was the Prontera Castle (Fadhgridh). A champ and a SinX (not sure) was defending. So players who actually switched to 2 Daggers, Gloom/Gloom Farmor were warped out of the emp room dying to the champ. I stayed in there with a couple of others, around 3- 5. Some died, some new breakers rushed in and attacked the emp. After awhile the champ got tired and he warped out. The Emperium broke about 5 seconds after he disappeared. This Emperium breaking process took about 3-4 mins or so. Just with 1 champ defending. I was there at the Emperium, hitting with GR/GLoom in armor and Fshield usakoring. Before it broke, i had to Enchant Deadly Poison and use Cursed Water twice. Because the duration of 1 alone is not sufficient to breaking the Emperium when champs are at the Emp. If there are no champs, lets say about 4 SinX with frenzy , 4 without, but both having Full Damage Equips, hmm emp would break in about 25 seconds - 35 seconds of hitting it. I'm just saying this 250m hp of the emp will surely change so much of the gameplay in woe soon enough. Just by having a champ at the emp can delay breaking for 3-4 mins. What about a few champs and a few high priests and slow gracers and trappers. I think the emperium will be easily defended for 5 mins or more. As of all that, last minute rush. I dont think this phrase will exist anymore. LOL Laddering on the other hand, well i dont ladder so i dont know. But by removing ladder count in woe, this means champ will rule ladder once again. Yes a big gang of pvpers might remove this fact. But, how will this big group of pvpers be online most with the same amount of ppl and same group most of the time during the duration of 1 week? ((cocky points +90)) And no The gunslingers aren't the only ones who won, Champs won off woe Mike using my prof won in pvp and woe only like 400 kills at woe. Also gunslingers are dependent on aoe just magnetic earth and hes boned.

This is true because in euro woe it is unfair since emp's hp is so low and every breaker from every guild is only targeting one castle. But for American woe breakers are split around the 3 castles and by just having decent defense, castles can be held for a much longer time. Really should think about reducing american castle emp's hp.

It is not about a bunch of breakers running in... it's about large guilds and using strategy to defend your castle. Mostly, it's about team work, which is the opposite of what was happening (with a few exceptions of course). Ya'll should give it some time before you start saying you want it back to the way it was before... you might be surprised, sometimes change is a good thing. :) Also, the Pvp ladder was meant to encourage people to Pvp more. Having kills count in Woe is just counterproductive.

I suggest you guys try to break Payon during a whole WoE, if it doesn't break because of the HP boost, then you can complain. As for the safety wall, 1 magnetic earth, and they can't safety wall.

Second, I never said I'd bring it back. I said I am in favor for some kind of ratio being implemented. I do not have the authority to do as I please, and it should be a player/gm co-decision. And I actually enjoyed WoE yesterday with the HP increase. I didn't see a break storm. I also don't see this Frenzy storm either. I saw 2-3 people using frenzy(per castle. Rough estimate) which is about normal. In fact 1 of the people I Saw using frenzy was defending with his guild. Now people have to work for castles not just rush in 30 seconds left Dual Dagger, Thana, Glooms and get castle in the last 2 seconds.
