nines Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Eeeeh Only real votes I can see to go on for a gun theme and quality also a sig that you would actually use not just make and discard would be (To Me) is Poringly and Neils. Haruka would have added you to but could have had a better background to lead into the blood splatter I really like that, the red and white with the red outer glow on the white was kinda overkill tho (hehe) Also try duplicating your gun render and then sharpening it so it isn't blurry. Poringly I love the hand drawn thing and you found a really good stock but, you could have done some better backgrounds with it, also like add a hand drawn table to put that on or a hand drawn cig in an ash tray make it seem like a hitman theme which it is already but would have boosted the quality more, your getting better. Neils, well the text is bad <.< the Ace is fine but the X07 is just horrible -.-, really like the effects and war feeling that it gives off really fits into Kill zone. My Vote is going to have to go to AceX07 not because hes a friend of mine I could care less if he was the fckin dean of my college and he could change my grade if I voted him. His just has better quality / effects than the others do. ]Reasons for voting for #3 AceX07] Fits the gun theme nicely with kill zone as game render, has great effects / flow on the render to fit a nice war theme, also a big fan of kill zone used to play it all the time with my sister on ps2.

Also, with all of the shooting games and stuff out now, most of the sotw are just plane gun pictures. i would of imagined people using the animes or games to their advantage for this sotw. Since only ace did this he gets my vote.

DiEnd Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I'd like to place a vote for Entry #2. The text is a little hard to read, but it doesn't bother me that much. The idea that was put into this is very unique in expressing 'Memory'. While pointing a gun to your head and firing would 'paint' something in red. It's also blowing out the Gamemaster's brain, or more specifically his memories. Memories are sometimes expressed as film strips and this portrayed them as this. (I see them this way also) Most of the other signatures (not dissing or flaming. Just pointing out) are just pictures of a gun. That doesn't make a signature to me. In Entry # 2 it's clear the Gun is what caused the the rest of the signature. With out it why would memories be spewing out the GM's head? Not to mention it's hand drawn from my knowledge. A lot of time and detail went into this.

The background is nice too, with the polka dots that are all different sizes and all around the gun. And how it's set out is good, with the gun on the right side and the bullets like next to it. I like it. :3
Kittie Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 I'll vote for Poringly [5] because I just LOVE the style of it. It's simple, but draws you in. It sets up a scene and a mood with the monotone color palette. The artist used this "sketch" style stock very wisely and their conservatism paid off this week.
