sessions Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 (edited) Okay I'm pretty sure this was suggested already and accepted like 6 months ago but whateva. I'm thinking these stats Forsaken Stalker Sword [4] Str+10 Agi+10 Max HP+10% Increase damage on demihuman monsters by 15% Attack: 110 (same as LK sword) Increase weight limit is not needed since you would be using this with a high strength build anyway. Xtopher Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Sounds good to me. Agreed. When new Elite weapons are implemented does one usually have to re-do the quest to obtain the new weapon or is there another system?
Xtopher Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Maybe, like you said, some way of only giving those who have Elite Stalkers the Sword. I don't see how that would be unfair seeing how they did in fact do the quests. Why make them have to do it twice when now someone could do it once and get everything? It wouldn't hurt the economy. It would stimulate trade a bit because those who have Elite Stalkers would gain an item to sell in the market (or keep if they wish).
Sorrow Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 i agree, Stalker sword/dagger please. Stalkers were great for their versitility in builds, being able to be ranged, magic, meelee and combinations of them, i do recall reading in an official RO website somewhere that Rogues and Stalkers are based on the concept of freedom. But their primary/exclusive attacking skills are meelee (Back Stab, Raid and Snatch) and they have the Sword Mastery as extra proof of their meelee prowess, so i find it odd, to say the least, that they have no meelee elite weapon. As for the argument about 'who already made the quest won't have it', that's okay, actually that's great; fresh items to push up the selling and drive to make the elite quests once again. And i say this being one of the people who already made the elite quest for stalker two times. i really wouldn't mind making it third, fourth and so-onth times.
Xtopher Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Read what I said again, brah. I think we're misunderstanding each other lol. What I mean is IF you have done the Stalker Elite quest there should be a npc that will give you the weapon for free. No exchange or anything. Seeing has you have already done the full quest once I don't see why you should have to do it again because of a server update. People who didn't do the quest originally and just bought their weapons are not Elite Stalkers, therefore they will get nothing. Not all Stalkers would be given an item, just the ones who already did the quest. And if those people get the item and don't use Stalkers or don't want the sword they can just sell it to other players (stimulating trade). What I'm trying to say is: If you didn't originally make your own weapons/do the quests you wouldn't get squat. Forget any sort of exchange npc.
Xtopher Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 Thats true. Is there a way for the last npc in the quest to recognize you've finished it before and just give the item to you? Don't know anything about scripting and yada yada... Just wondering if it's possible. If so it would make implementation of new weapons for the elite quest much easier.
sessions Posted July 16, 2010 Author Report Posted July 16, 2010 I'm pretty sure there is no way of telling if you've done the second part of the elite quest since once you're elite you can do it over and over. And it would be unfair to let anybody who happened to have a stalker weapon to trade them in sooooo no NPC would be fine.
Xtopher Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Yea, if there's no way of telling who has and has not done the second quest then just redoing it is the best option.
Terroryst Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Or you can make a new quest since I don't think too many people are fond of doing it all over again. Since it's just one weapon, add a new NPC like we did for the Taekwon weapon.
Phenomenon Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Or you can make a new quest since I don't think too many people are fond of doing it all over again. Since it's just one weapon, add a new NPC like we did for the Taekwon weapon. Taekwon's didn't have an elite equipment quest when it's weapon was added, I think adding it to the Stalker Box attained after completing the 2nd phase of the Elite Quest is more reasonable. The Taekwon weapon quest on it's own was as hard as any Elite Equipment Quest IMO.
Terroryst Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 I didn't mean for it to be literally the same as Taekwon weapon quest lol I meant for it to just have its own NPC so you wouldn't have to do the WHOLE thing again, but it should also be added to the box of course.

sessions Posted August 9, 2010 Author Report Posted August 9, 2010 Okay I'm going to bump this for one because it's down to the second page and because if this does get implemented a rental and donation version should be implemented. Elite: Forsaken Stalker Sword [4] Str+10 Agi+10 Max HP+10% Increase damage on demihuman monsters by 15% Attack: 110 (same as LK sword) Increase weight limit is not needed since you would be using this with a high strength build anyway. Rental: Str+20 Agi+20 Max HP+15% Increase damage on demihuman monsters by 20% Attack: 140 Donation: For this I'm thinking just make two seperate Stalker Black Swords, one the Magic and the other the Melee. (similar to dexterity and critical for sinx) Str+30 Agi+30 Max HP+20% Increase damage on demihuman monsters by 30% Attack: 170 ASPD+5
Veracity Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Sure, we can do this, although it won't be high priority. - Accepted -
