nines Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Alright 1.st off This event is supposed to be no customs whats so ever right? so Take out all custom cards from being allowed I went in with kingrings on my rod and it got taken off, so why allow usakoring...supposed to be iro stuff right? so should be using thara frog card not a usakoring. 2nd. If Thanatos isn't allowed and that makes sense since its supposed to be iro like, theres like only 1 or 2 thanas in all of iro and like 5 or 6 gtbs spread throughout all of the players in iro. So gtb should be takin out to balance it, if you were to go into pvp in iro magic classes wouldn't get gtbed they would just have to vs people with mdef gear which basically everyone wore. Take out GTB From Event.! 3rd....I don't know if theres much you could do about it but if its supposed to be iro like strip isn't supposed to be I just run in and can strip you instantly because i got over 250 dex, in iro it took quite a bit of time and effort to strip someone so it shouldn't be 3 clicks ta-da your boned now eat a gang. If any other people have any other suggestions that aren't idiotic please post em :O
Deceptive Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) I agree with the first and second suggestions, but not so much the third. It can't be EXACTLY like iRO, but Full Divestment is a skill, and In't think it should be nerfed during Annhilation. The fact that Usakoring is allowed and Kingrings aren't is kind of weird. I thought ALL customs weren't allowed, so why would Usakoring? I don't think GTB should be allowed, because then magic classes have NO CHANCE at all to win(unless they use melee attacks). You can't strip shields because you can't use the quest hat for Strip Shield, and Dragoon Warlord is a custom card. So once again, I agree with suggestion #1 and #2, but disagree on suggestion #3. Kittie Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 If GTB isn't allowed, what about Kiel cards? In iRO, players aren't able to cut delay in between casts as fast.
nines Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 I don't care about kiels really went in there without any mvp cards and did fine.
Kittie Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 How many Kiels do other players usually bring in?
nines Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 Uhhh, couldn't tell if any one else had any. But I know when Cole goes in on his alche he has like 2
Kittie Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Oh yah. I guess 2 kiels is the max any one can have too, which is "pot"-able.
nines Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 Well, in fairness id say remove kiel if gtb is gonna be removed because If I were to use kiels, basically everyone would die really really fast
Rune Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 The Event is still in phases of improvement, some items that shouldn't be allowed are getting through, and some perfectly legit items are being blocked. So agreed with your first statement because it is already being worked on. In my first suggestion for the event when it was on the verge of being released was that no MvP cards to be allowed at all, but only Thanatos Card was blocked. In the end after witnessing the event and participating i came to the conclusion that the Cards are all fine seeing the number of slots is much inferior. So i really think GTB, Kiel and all the others should stay. The Strip skill is also okay; as much as in iRO stripping required more work, so did making Glistening Coats and applying FCP. Creators in iRO have to decide between these three skills; Full Chemical Protection(which has a long cast time), Acid Demonstration(which is very expensive for low rate standards having no bottles in a NPC shop) and Throw Condensed Potion(vital for survival of the creator and team). In short; Stripping is very easy with 250+dex, getting 100 Glistening Coats for 3 coupons and Instant Casting FCP is just as easy. The Event is Party based; if a stalker is being a trouble for you, bring a friendly Creator and case closed. And the event is supposed to be a closer experience to the original RO, but not a complete carbon copy, for that we'd have to allow only chars whose level don't exceed 99/70.
Drax Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 I have to disagree with you on this one nines, on iRO there are more than 5-6 gtbs u are right that they arent that many to the point where in Pvp someone will have it but there is plenty more than 5 or 6 there was that many in just my guild alone.
Perishable Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) I disagree. Xtopher Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 2nd. gtb should be takin out to balance it 3rd....I don't know if theres much you could do about it but if its supposed to be iro like strip isn't supposed to be I just run in and can strip you instantly because i got over 250 dex I disagree with these two. #2: It's not the same as iro because in iro mages don't have instant cast like we do here... they have a cast bar and can't spam the hell out of what ever target they want. So I believe GTB should be allowed. #3: You can't really complain about a stalker build with 250 dex stripping ya when others are running around with 2xx of other stats using their builds effectively. And the event is supposed to be a closer experience to the original RO, but not a complete carbon copy, for that we'd have to allow only chars whose level don't exceed 99/70. I would actually like for it to be 99/70. It would be much more fun and challenging. If this was done then I could see GTB being taken out.
nines Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 Yah, I see what your talking about on the gtb. the lvl 99/70 thing would get abused easly youd just have people go make babys for the event get the extra 2k stats and what not.
Veracity Posted September 2, 2010 Report Posted September 2, 2010 1. I don't believe that it was ever said (or at least intended) for there to be no custom items at all in the event. 2. GTB won't be taken out for this event either, I don't believe. I'm pretty sure it was intended to be allowed in still. 3. The event isn't necessarily supposed to be like iRO, and I don't think that there is much that could be done about the strip issue anyways. Thank you for your suggestion, though! - Rejected -
