I like the treatment and overall it's a pretty good signature but I'd say a better font could've been picked. I'd check out dafont and mess around with all sorts of fonts, not just decorative ones either. Sometimes just a plain sans serif font is the best against complicated textures and brushes. And sometimes no text at all is the best way to go!
