Damnascus Posted July 11, 2010 Report Posted July 11, 2010 Not crappy. Nobody begins as an expert. It takes time, so don't stop.

Voku Posted July 13, 2010 Report Posted July 13, 2010 Pro tip. Try using smudging instead of just using random effects to making backgrounds or use stocks.

nines Posted July 13, 2010 Author Report Posted July 13, 2010 (edited) Wow really...read what I said a few post ago...trying to get used to one style before I move on, Smudging isn't a pro tip. Its in all noob tutorials. And everyone has there own style, I'm trying to branch out already, but instead of giving a proper suggestion like the other 2 did you chose to be a douche =.= Edited July 13, 2010 by nines
Voku Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Its not been a douche, just because smudging is in beginner tuts means you cant create something good with just a brush? im trying to help if you think im been a douche then you have alot to learn. For example look at my current sig 2nd one, thats all smuding, is that a beginners tut no? Having one style maybe good but you shouldnt get used to learning one style , always adapt and changing this up that way when you do get a hard request you can do stuff out side the box. nines Posted July 14, 2010 Author Report Posted July 14, 2010 (edited) Yah sorry I never believe some one made a sig unless it has there signature on it and fits into the siggy colors etc its really easy to copy work from some one else and claim it as your own. Especially since your other 2 sigs and the one u replaced all had your name on it. Also posting some Strike Witches siggs! I love this anime my favorite ever /slur lolis Entered this one to Sotw Rendered this one out my self and etc etc, tested some new gradients on this so its a lil funky tryin to learn how to mix em. nines Posted July 15, 2010 Author Report Posted July 15, 2010 Thank you Char gonna work on that and yah I know I've been using the same fon't alot couldn't find any good ones that I liked. Im trying to learn how to do glowing sigs like Patchy from Animesuki his sigs are amazing trying to learn that style x.x hard as hell for me though so having problems with the colors cause of that. And on some of my renders I lower the saturation and the brightness to give it a good blend but with my bright colors I use the dodge tool on some spots to keep it so its not over ridden by the brushes background etc. And voku you said Pro Tip try using smudging then in another post you said look at my current second sig that is all smudging. Giving the impression that it is yours. If you want to help some one do it like everyone else say hey heres some tips etc etc not Pro Tip its beyond conceided not even some of the best photoshop people will say Pro Tip, they say this part is advanced or you need and understanding of this before you attempt this. So im just going to end this and say. Thank you for the tip, it is appreciated.
Voku Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Look it may seem like its but when i say tips i mean it, no one can teach photo shop , i could type out everything for you to make a sig but in the long run its you who makes all the moves, smudging is flow and a background using this in a combination with your tags can make the image seem better, effects are good but having a stock bg image that matches the render can make it a whole lot better because you have a feel for what direction our going in, yea i may be a douche but i dont mean it.
Terroryst Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Smudging is easy and it can produce a nice looking sig; if done correctly. Ignore the mess-ups on his chest and face and the rest is pretty decent, if I do say so myself.
nines Posted July 23, 2010 Author Report Posted July 23, 2010 Yah but you also need a render that fits smudging and your imagination to make it work. and update
Terroryst Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Well sig making in general requires imagination. I think anything can fit smudging, actually. Different brushes used for the smudges and whatnot can create any background to fit your liking.
Terroryst Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 That's really good for starting on smudge, actually.
