Yah, I posted all my sigs on animesukis fan creations thread been getting some tips there. Trying to learn how to use the custom shape tool...or where to find good custom shapes to use.

One thing its a good start for the smudge but try to smudge the whole background image and create depth, i.e some layers add them onto colour burn and such ill upload a psd of a smudge tag i did a while back and you can use it as a LRO if you wish

OTL Nines, I'm sorry, but it's bugging the crap outta me. You spelt "Suigintou" wrong 3 times.

Also, if you want a tip from me or something, I'd say don't use text too much or all the time. :3 It's not always nesseccary. Or it you want to make your signature so everyone knows you made it, make the text more subtle or smaller so it doesn't distract from the rest of the sig. Text, if not used nicely, can pull attention away from the sig as a whole. Look at the sig Jay showed you, the text blends in well, it's not too much, and it adds a nice little touch. x__x Just a suggestion, you don't have to follow it or anything.

On the renders I saved they spelt it that way and in the translator versions I've watched of Rozen Maiden they spelt it that way, so I just went with that, and thanks for the tip ill try smaller texts.

And Voku on that smudge one I did I was toying around with a bunch of filters on there that I've never used so didn't wanna try and fck it up. And I did try smudging the background to but I prefer this look has a smudge feel but without all the chaos.

xD;;; Sorry, then I don't think the translators are right. I'm studying Japanese, I know quite a bit. And though I haven't watch that anime, I can assure you that.. Unless her name isn't Japanese, it isn't suppossed to be "gni", but "gin". Gin means silver, Sui means water, and Tou I think means light?? Suigin means Murcury, the element, however. And nowhere in the Japanese language, does "g" stand on it's own like that. But I donno! x___x Maybe it's pronouced Su-ee-guh-nee-too in the anime instead of Su-ee-geen-too, I donno. I don't wanna start some fight or anything, just saying.

Yep, the text of a sig is one of the things that can make or break it. It's also one of the things I'm terrible at lol.

Heres some updates and what I want to enter in this sotw themed Life Under The Sea, Im taking a different approach to it because I don't like doing stuff everyones going to do so i stepped out of the comfort zone just need to know which version fits more into the theme since its hard to tell if theres water.

And here's the Sotw Versions for this week (its like a water dragon snake shark thingy :O)

This is my first version which I prefer just cause it looks a lot cooler but its not like instantly looking oh hes under water.

And here's the other version doesn't look as great to me but it fits the under water thing more + a fantasy touch.

you've improved a lot, i like the last one you posted the most. :] the only thing i'd say is about your choice of font, i don't think it's standing out enough... & maybe brighten the value of the red so it pops more? it's really great though, nice work !!

Some of your sigs look like you just made a background and put the render into it. I'd suggest looking at the render, spot the areas where lighting affects it, and set up your background accordingly.
