Kittie Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) I'll vote for entry no. 9, Voku's. I love the combination of a photograph and a drawn render. I think it's always hard to combine the two different types of media, but the artist did a good job with working with the colors and adjustments necessity to achieve the flow between the two images. The added C4D's add highlight and movement to the mermaid, and the lines created by the C4Ds extend upwards to the beautiful sky, making great use of the vertical proportions of the final image. Hannah Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) I vote for [ 3 ] Lenneth Celie. I just love this one. ^___^ And it's even more awesome cause it's hand drawn. The colors fit well together and I think that each drawing really represents that season. The backgrounds are good too because, for example, the summer background has a sun in it to show what it is about and the winter background is blue with white dots, which is like snow and so it's about winter. lol. :3 So yeah, I vote for Lenneth Celie's. xD P.S. I like how it shows this perfectly. Mother Nature proves day in and day out how she will be and we have to make it through to live this life.

I found it very hard to decide who to vote for this round , two of the entries really got to me ( entries 3 and 11 ). I liked these because both used bright colors, and handrawn characters which made it look really cheerful, Yet I picked entry 11 because it shows 2 seasons which are the complete opposite of each other. One moment it's very warm and gentle, the next moment the same girl is cold and chilling. Even though it only shows 2 seasons it does perfectly represent these 2 seasons , and it makes me long for the warmth of Spring~

It's visually the most appealing to me and represents the seasons very well. Although most of the other entries seem to show a scenery of a season, this one shows characters- and that adds a boost of creativity to the entry. The text could be better, but overall, I like it. The colours are equally balanced and the characters definitely add appeal. --- Closed.
