GSE Zombie Posted April 16, 2010 Author Report Posted April 16, 2010 I know there is a originality section... but this is RO Related and so is my question, it gets veiwed more here.
Cirrus Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 The art isn't, although the question, which was just added, is.
Appie Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 well for the most part the images are visually unappealing. need to work on color combinations, and try not to mess too much with sprites themselves unless you are improving the detail and quality. also stretching images doesnt ever look good. and pay attention to quality of the images you use. Also think about how easy it is to read text over backrounds like the one in your last image. You kinda get lost in the colors and swirls and with a dark text and only small outlines it makes harder to see. Well i hope that helps! :x
GSE Zombie Posted April 17, 2010 Author Report Posted April 17, 2010 Well, i don't quite understand how you mean. Like, is my text hard to read? Or Idk. Also, color combinations as in the coloring doesn't match? And yes, literally i have no idea what i'm doing for the most part, how i get my backrounds, text effects, etc. is from simply messing around with it. suggestions?
Appie Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 Well, of course just keep messing around with it and you will learn all the technical stuff. The text is hard to read and has no real focus in the image. If you are interested in making signatures the text needs to stand out more and not get kinda lost in the background. You can use a site like this: http://www.colorcombos.com/ to get an idea of how colors match and compliment each other. Sometimes it's as simple as different variations of the same color. Also just looking at other works for inspiration can help. Anyway, good luck with your work!
