gtx0032 Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Well I'm sure there will be Valentine's themed events and probably items to be given away on February 14 but I was wondering if we can have a Chinese New Year event that also falls on the same date as Valentine's. We do have Chinese themes, maps, items and mythical creatures in ragnarok (particularly in louyang) and I was just wondering if we can have some dedicated events for this such as: 1. Bring Me Items - Chinese based in-game items 2. Lucky 8 - Last Team Survival of 8 members 3. Hide and Seek - with clues referring to Chinese things Items could be consumable that adds stats like 1. Dimsum - add +10 STR for 1 hour 2. Dumpling - add +10 AGI for 1 hour 3. Chinese Moon Cake - add + 10 Dex for 1 hour Well there could be special gifts like paos for either zennies or event coupons for prizes for events (could be boss hunting, games and others). Well this is just a suggestion; what do you guys think?
Communism Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 It sounds interesting to me. A little variety is always nice after all. If a little research could be done to maximize the Chinese aspects of it, then I think it would be fun.
Devotion Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 The first part isn't a problem; GM's just need to be creative in their events to make it themed to Chinese New Year. The rest of your ideas require coding, which I'll leave to Sensation to decide.
gtx0032 Posted January 25, 2010 Author Report Posted January 25, 2010 Well these are just suggestion and I wouldn't want to impose as I do know most of the people working here are already busy with a lot of things. Just an idea for the future then. thanks for your input guys!
Groxy Drank Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 That would be nice. Im not chinese but that could be a way to learn a bit about other cultures. Also a way to have fun.
Wish Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 As these holidays have passed, moved to the rejected/completed suggestions. Feel free to provide input for other holiday event ideas in other suggestions!
