gtx0032 Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 Hi guys! So i just visited my local game store and the owner has asked me if im reserving any of the following titles. I said no as i do not have a ps3 (i own xbox 360) but my eyes were caught stiff with the japanese release of FF13 earlier than the english one (due on march). Whats worse is that the ps3 has its own FF13 limited edition white ps3 to boot! Im like wow in all corners of the store!!! God of War 3 is also making me excited as this is one of the most anticipated titles to grace ps3. Now ive got more reasons to buy ps3: 1. Metal Gear Solid - Guns of Patriots 2. Killzone 2 3. Unchartered Series 4. God of War 1 & 2 Remake 5. God of War 3 * I didnt include FF13 as this will also be released with the XBOX 360 and Im sure that the graphics are way better on xbox 360 (lets not get into a heated debate on this fan boys). And Gran Tourismo < Forza 3. So should i buy ps3 for 5 games alone? (oh and as a blue ray player) or just wait for gears of wars 3, new halo and project natal? What do you guys think?

gtx0032 Posted January 8, 2010 Author Report Posted January 8, 2010 i dunno if i should. seriously i dont spend much on video games that much nowadays thanks to FrO and if i do so its not like i wont be able to play these games past the time that they were released. (which makes purchasing game cheaper) my 360 is collecting dust after finishing mw2 but yeah i still have some odst, wolfenstein and batman to finish (and yeah i need a 120 gig HD for dlc's). hmm ps3 can play hd disks which should be awesome... but i can just plug in my portable hd to my xbox and watch my downloaded vids (720p). oh well... looks like ill give ps3 a pass for now. nothing they have now that i'd like to play atm.

gtx0032 Posted January 8, 2010 Author Report Posted January 8, 2010 seriously chief pvp-ing is more exciting to me now than GoW3. :) I'm even more excited seeing the remakes of GoW1-2 on ps3 than GoW3. But yeah it is GoW afterall. like i said one game wont get me buying a ps3 still. if ff13 was exclusive for ps3 then probably that would have increased my chances of buying to 70%. probably if someone sold me a a 2nd hand 80gig ps3 fat for like 150-200USD then hell yeah im buying! :)

As of games, it seems they are finally picking up good title other than ps1 and 2 classics The only anoying thing with PS3 is the endless amount of consoles, you can have the first model 40 & 60 with linux compatible, but no backward compatiblity, or the 80 GB with backward compatibility or the new ones with nothing but ps3, i suggest you buy a 80GB on the net and upgrade the hardrive with any 2.5 inch hard drive, it's that i did with mine and went to 500GB Edited January 12, 2010 by Apo
