Devotion Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Don't watch this unless you're ready for a slap in the face, and some serious thought afterward. Contains graphic scenes. Earthlings Here's Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkLt88_u5lQ...feature=related
Antagonist Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I've watched the whole thing, and I'm showing this to all my friends. Thank you for posting this up. Its a real eye opener
Apo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I am against animal cruelty, but only when it's killed for useless purposes, nowaday our techno;ogy allows us to make coat for winter w/o killing an animal for it, henceforth we do not need to kill animals for it but people still does, such things should be banned. But when it comes to survival, even animal kills eachother for their own survival, to fee themselves, same as we do, it's a circle, animal kills animal, we kill animal, animal kills us, except we do kill in a muh bigger quantity because we are in higher quantity, I wouldn't kill an animal or use anything based on an animal pointlessly killed, but i wouldnt turn vegetarian neither.
Luxiana Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I closed whole thing at the end of second part. I dont know, maybe I'll get courage and watch on in near future. I love animals, this video is seriously... omygod. Sometimes we should be ashamed, because we're human. And this is one of those cases.
Mojaysincross Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Wow....... Some food for thought here........
Devotion Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 Thanks for all your positive responses. My mom read about it in the newspaper, how it changed a football player, and she said we should watch it. But neither of us were ready for the content. I'd seen some of the stuff before like the dolphin slaughter, and some animal slaughter and experimentation. But there are things in there that surprised even me, like how these people enjoy burning, beating, shooting, and abusing pigs. I broke down early on when they lead that dog to the garbage truck, and I knew exactly what they wanted to do with him. I woke up this morning realizing how full of cruelty the world is. And the conclusion I had was that if I can't make a change to other people, then I'll just change myself. And if many of us realize and do this, then it'll spread very quickly, like a chain reaction. Because the truth is, ALL of what was shown can be done humanely and with dignity. Money is truly a destroyer.
Apo Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Money is the ultimate weapon that will destroy this planet.
Wish Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 I also made it throught he whole video. That is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. It amazes me that they were able to get all that footage that condemns places when it could get them in trouble. I'm glad they did, though. Hopefully this will be able to change some things.
Devotion Posted October 18, 2009 Author Report Posted October 18, 2009 Apo, you're being negative again. Of course we're all human but we have the capacity for change. If you don't think others around you know how, then either try to teach them or do yourself the favor and learn for your own benefit. Gather your information and live the way you feel is right, always keeping an open mind.
ramonjordan Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 i couldn't finish it was too long :> but it was messed up what they did, but i still love meat lol. Makes you appreciate what you have though nice post. Very eye opening
Lae` Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Watched it all. Thank you for posting something like this. I knew there was stuff happening like this, but some of the stuff I never imagine they would do. Thank you again.
Kusanagi Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 (edited) Yeah its very unfortunate but it's odd how it seems to affect only those in the bigger country's. My country is probably 10 years away from the currency of tech, however you dont see that happen or at least in 10 years living in this city I havent seen or heard about anyone doing such a thing. People seem to loose contact with the nature as they get in contact with the money and people who are already affected by it. Its true that we can change it by changing ourselves since this generates a chain reaction on people we know, but in the end we are highly outnumbered and they also spread chain reactions. Devotion Posted October 20, 2009 Author Report Posted October 20, 2009 It's guaranteed that there is animal cruelty/exploitation of some sort in every country, city and neighborhood, including where you are. It's everywhere. Though the documentary focuses on America, many of the scenes are from overseas countries. Like I think that scene where the dog is thrown in the garbage truck is in some Middle Easter country. Most people don't know this is happening all around them, because it's secretive and hushed.
Perishable Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Sighs* I love animals <3 Especially Panda :D Anyone ever seen one? I've did in asia HEH
