Now i wanna get another server and i know you have to put it under the same folder you had the first time [being the forsakenRO folder] How do i go about adding another folder? :/ ive tried this before on my old laptop but it always ended up screwing things up with both servers :/ please help!!!
Nyanko Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 You can't put two servers together. Make another folder and copy the sakray files into it along with the other servers files. Or if you have no idea which files are sakray related just reinstall sakray into the folder for your other server.
Exhibition Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I don't recommend putting two servers in one folder. Their .grf/data files can possibly conflict with one another, causing you to have problems on one of the servers.

Sensation Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Every single server tells you to NEVER add the server in the same folder as another. It's the reason that forums are flooded with idiots going "oh my god, i keep error, qq". Read before doing something you don't know how to fucking do. Blunt said, but true. The main issue indeed is because more than 1 server is used in one folder, others are unable to copy folders due to the lack of available HD space, but there are enough external ones available or you could buy a new internal one ^^. If I'm not mistaken someone released a program that allows you to put the main RO files in 1 folder and let other servers use those files from another directory, saving you duplicates of the massive RO files, but keeping the servers apart from eachother. Seen it on eAthena about a year or 2 ago, but lost track of it.
Apo Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 there's no problem at all as long as it doesnt use a data folder. just modify your DATA.ini and write which grf to read and ur just fine.
