This past month i was traveling with GIRL Skateboards AM Team. It was awesome until I arrived at my city. Los Angeles. My friends and I skated around east la to get some footage. Well, it was stupid to go around there. We still did. what can go wrong right? Psh. when i was in my car to drop off my friends to this spot. I was like i dont feel like going out anymore. Then when i was there. my friends got off and they told me to wait a couple of minutes and one of my friends was held up on gunpoint. The others were telling me to drive away and leave him. I was like wtf?! and i went to try to negotiate but it was useless. The crackhead telling me to give him all of my money before he shoots. And i did. Then my friends said lets get out of here. And we were heading to the car. The crackhead pulled the trigger and the bullet hit my left leg. I passed out and woke up in an ambulance. The police didn't catch the person who shot me. I was fucking furious. that i can't skate anymore and i can barely walk.... i have to go to physical therapy everyday 3pm. at Cedar's Sinai Hospital. I'm still sponsored but i don't think i'll be able to skate for a long time. My doctor expected me to be traumatized but thank god i'm not. I'm not giving up ever. this past weekend my friends visited me at my house. and felt sorry for me. i just felt like posting this. because my parents won't even accept my calls . and my girlfriend is still scared. pls any advices? will help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What doesn't kill you will make you stronger, chin up soldier, 5 years from now your gonna have a mofo cool story to tell your friends and a kick ass scar to show them. You did good, you did exactly what i'd do, you didn't forsake your friend. i don't know if this'll serve as any consolation at all, but you took a bullet that was going to take your friend's life, that compassionate act won't go unrewarded. That's still nice to hear to, because they actually are really good friends if they're going to stick with you all the way.
