Guest icy Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) Put a delay in them to prevent GvG/LMS/LTS being drag on. Especially for LMS, since it got time limit. Some just backslide and snap constantly just to waste time. Hi! :D Edit: Oh btw, I play sinx so don't say I want this just to benefit myself. It's just annoying and a waste of time, in those events Edited August 29, 2009 by icy
Tiago Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 this has already been suggested a hundred times. uh there's no topic for it though, so yeah. n__n
Anarii Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I agree. No harm in a small nerf to the two most op classes in the game.
Yuki Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Not sure if this helps much but there's a rule I use (and a few other GM's, I believe) who use this rule as well. The rule is that : When there is 10 minutes remaining left in the event, you are not permitted to run. Failure to comply with this will resolve in you getting kicked/killed during the event. That rule may help, so I'm unsure. Anyways, the idea sounds interesting to me. I'd love to see how it would work out during the events.
Guest icy Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 I'm a sinx myself. I just find it annoying, when they just run and not do anything at all.
kuoch Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 My vote is yes, nerf it. I play champ and tons of champs snap around constantly a lot. Pretty annoying I must say.

The rule is that : That rule may help, so I'm unsure. Anyways, the idea sounds interesting to me. I'd love to see how it would work out during the events. If it's 6 on 1 people would run and try to isolate one of them, but because that's quite unlikely to happen, that 1 person keeps running. The 6 other people ganging that 1 person should fight each other instead of that 1 person, as not all 6 will bother to chase that person. There are always exceptions and nerfing it has it's pros and cons; as an offensive player it'll be a pro, defensive player or one that's being ganged on, it's a con. Situational this will be a nice suggestion. Though, from the amount of events I've seen, it would be a nice change and perhaps give other classes a slightly 'higher' chance of being any competition.
Adamxd Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 (edited) I suggest 3 seconds, is it enough to catch someone who has just snaped or backslided? If he stood next to you of course Edited August 30, 2009 by Adamxd
orthikuss Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 agree!! perhaps same as bowling bash delay xD (1s), back sliding (0,5s) ... i think we need to try out first,
» Pat Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Agree'd. Possibly slightly less than the delay on MB.

That's true, but in most cases, most people would have been eliminated by the time 10 minutes come. So I'd have to agree, there are both pros and cons to this nerf. I suggest 3 seconds, is it enough to catch someone who has just snaped or backslided? If he stood next to you of course 3 seconds may be a little too much. I mean yes, it probably is enough time but backslide / snap is still a tactical / evasive skill, we don't want to lose its purpose of an escape skill. Something that's small enough and difficult enough for both the assassin cross/champion and the chaser to have a "fair" fight. agree!! perhaps same as bowling bash delay xD (1s), back sliding (0,5s) ... i think we need to try out first, Personally, I don't think Bowling Bash really needs a delay. The main topic is for evasive skills, not offensive skills. Bowling Bash is one of a Lord Knight's main attack skills, just like many classes' other skills. @ Pat, care to define "MB"? Mind Breaker?
iMush Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 that aint fare ! people like me got just about no chance, since all lms is now aday's is a bunch of ganger's ... which is fine, since it's alot more effective and easy to win that way, but as long as people got some chance they'd play.. Or else lms is just gonna run outta people who wanna play
Guest icy Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 How much delay would you suggest to add? Around 0.5-1 second. I suggest 3 seconds, is it enough to catch someone who has just snaped or backslided? If he stood next to you of course 3 seconds is just to much.
» Pat Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 @ Pat, care to define "MB"? Mind Breaker? Magnum Break. ;D
Guest icy Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Magnum Break. ;D Lol, no Pat. Magnum Break is too long.
sessions Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 Agreed. 0.5 ~ 1 second delay should be sufficient
Xtopher Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 I agree with backslide, but not with snap. Snap is a very key part of the Throw Spirit Sphere build, therefore nerfing it would hurt this build even more. There's enough full str/int Asura kids as it is, what you're suggesting would only increase this population. It's already bad enough that most people can just berry through tss spam, adding a delay on snap would make this build almost entirely useless. Also, lets remember this; for a champ to snap he must have spheres, and if he doesn't fury then snap costs 1 sphere per snap. This hurts your sp in the long run if you just snap around, and most tss build champs can't afford to be wasting it. Backslide does not require any preskills, so I agree it could be nerfed. Assassins, on the other hand, don't really have a long range build (except soul destroyer, but c'mon get real) so it doesn't hurt them as much.
Adamxd Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 CHamps overpowered like sinx, so if backslide delay snap too.
