Shinada Hsin
.... Nothing is wrong with be or stalker. Only thing needed is a sword for strip stalker
Yuki
If this gets accepted then it should go for GS/stalker too. For gunslingers, they don't really need a damage boost. What they need most is a HP boost. Stalkers, I'm unsure. As Shinada said, they need a Stalker Sword.
Sensation
IF bow damage will be upgraded, bow stalkers will benefit from it too. Melee stalkers need both a dagger and a sword, double attack only works with daggers which is nice for certain purposes. Gunslinger's damage is already terrifying, yet their health could use some compensation, yet keep in mind, gunslingers are basically just a 1st class with monsterous damage (it would certainly beat any other normal 1st class with the exception of perhaps exceptional TK rankers). More classes could use a health boost more than a damage boost, the problem most of the time is survivability and not the damage, they trade (although nerfed) utility. Keep in mind RO is based on stats for max. level 99, this is far above it, skills, modifiers and such didn't get the same change as the stats/leve cap did. Cards are the easiest way to balance it and I personally have an idea to do so, it would just need some discussing with my superiors and of course some decent testing to make it balance the gameplay. Any other questions or suggestions are welcome.
sessions
This discussion is moving away from where I intended... Snipers need more defense as they cannot equip a shield and still be effective. I am in no way, shape or form addressing their offensive capabilities. Give their bow a demi-human reduction (also clown/gypsy and stalker bow) That is all this suggestion is about.
iMush
Sniper's and stalker's really need a increase in damage. Who ever said sniper's could own, probably never played here. Sniper's are easy kill's by asura and thana, as most sniper's cloak. Basically just add maybe 30% resistance against demi human on the bow's to make them interesting... Give their bow a demi-human reduction (also clown/gypsy and stalker bow) That is all this suggestion is about. Although this suggestion isn't going where you intended to, it wouldn't hurt to expand it to other ideas as well that may help other classes. I agree that snipers need more defense, as well as the other class that use a bow. Sniper's and stalker's really need a increase in damage. Who ever said sniper's could own, probably never played here. Sniper's are easy kill's by asura and thana, as most sniper's cloak. Basically just add maybe 30% resistance against demi human on the bow's to make them interesting... I agree with the fact they need a damage increase as well, but what's more important than damage to snipers currently is the fact that they need some demi-human reductions. As you said, snipers are easily killed by Asura Strike, and Thanatos Cards. I think 30% might be a little too much. Most people would agree toning it down a little, or a lot. Rayna
Traps still are effective you have to learn how to arrow shower traps. Works for me Arrow showering traps causes them to disappear. I like the idea. 10-15% reduct sounds good. Yes, it is possible to still be a decent sniper and kill some classes, but it doesn't hurt to give them a little bit more survivability. iMush
A 30% reduct against demi human is nothing, they're still asura bait honestly speaking, think of it that way... They'd need SGW's all the time+ gr tao... Which mean's they'd still have super low hp :P So 30% is honestly nothing. Sniper's are under powered but w/e, u can still run around and use double strike or w/e it is... Just try figuring different combo's, cuz i doubt anything's gonna be implimented anytime soon, so ya... This is just another topic that's a reminder to people saying classes are under powere'd, it's not anything we havn't heard before :P
L2Aim
Shields provide ~60% reduct (shield and card won't stack perfectly, so reduced the total amount it reduces). Making it 30% would make it asif they have a shield without Usakoring, which still can be too low (using 1 ray/skoll because of the Assassin Cross card in cloak). Even in full reducts, their health can be insufficient (200 vit is roughly 180-190k HP with 1 Tao, if not less), a full asura can pull off about 220k damage. SB Assassin Cross' 8 hits, up to 20k-25k each and spammable multiple times, also 1-2 shots. These stats could reconsider the player's choice of the amount of reduction they would want to give Snipers to stand a chance. Constant shield & Combat knife switching is an option, but it requires very good awareness and reaction time, being in 1-hit KO builds requires a lot less effort. With the LoD & Stripping nerf, there's not much we still can do. Hit and Run vs RSX carded players using speed pots and sight, so that your push back skills are rendered useless. A failing trap duration, too much to name to not compensate a class like this. God like damage to compensate the low health would be nice or add more survivability, I wouldn't want to see both, hard classes are more fun to play. orthikuss
don't compare sniper with sinx, champ or other class. sinx = demi-human killer, born to kill, strong single-fighter. i think sniper same wolf, not very good on single-fighting but (perhaps) have more strength in a group. don't equal wolf to lion, dragon, mammoth (pally, LK) or tarzan (GM) o__O! suggestion: +10% dmg to demi-human, or +10%-15% reduction from demi-human
